Lythe Hill Hotel Wedding Photography - Robyn & Seamus

On the 29th February 2020, we had the pleasure of capturing Seamus and Robyn’s special wedding day at the beautiful Lythe Hill Hotel, Surrey, South West England. Robyn and Seamus chose to go with our wedding photography and videography package, as they felt that this wedding package suited them best. Lythe Hill Hotel is definitely a venue to note on your wedding venue shortlist. The old traditional style buildings, rural location and modern immaculate interior provides the perfect combination for that essential romantic feel.

We had the chance to explore the grounds and scout out some truly significant locations for group shots and couples portraits, which included the spectacular fountain on the lake as well as a gorgeous little wedding gazebo. Discovering the ceremony room was a real treat with its breathtaking glass roof along with the mesmerising glistening disco ball ready for a beautiful wedding!

The day started perfectly with a real buzz of excitement during bridal preparations in the Lodge. Robyn, her family and bridesmaids were so welcoming and were definitely raring to get on with the celebrations! The Lodge was filled with laughter and one by one the bridesmaids and Robyn each had their bridal hair and makeup done overlooking the lake. The Lodge at Lythe Hill Hotel was incredibly spacious which was perfect for both wedding photography and wedding videography, as Cameron and I were able to capture all the beautiful natural photos and moments with ease.

Setting up the cameras for wedding videography was a total breeze in the ceremony room, as the natural lighting from the glass roof was extraordinary with the sunlight beaming through and the disco ball twinkling around the room. At the end of the ceremony, we could see that the weather was possibly going to take a turn for the worse, so we decided to head on down to the lake for some group shots with the couple’s family and bridesmaids. The group shots were to die for, with the picturesque lake and water fountain in the background proving easy on the eye!

As we were midway through a truly gorgeous candid portrait shoot, we were interrupted by a sudden rain and hail storm! Seamus and Robyn’s crazy battle with the wind, rain and golf ball-sized hailstones was pretty impressive, considering their umbrellas were on the brink of braking as they attempted to run back to the safety of the wedding reception! It was the funniest moment I’ve ever experienced during my career as a wedding photographer, the documentary video and natural photos captured during our run back to safety were definitely moments to remember - both for Cameron and I, as well as Robyn and Seamus I’m sure!

After drying off and a quick (much needed!) change of clothing, we got straight back to capturing all of the natural special moments of the wedding reception before the wedding breakfast was served - which I must say looked truly mouth-watering! Robyn and Seamus did a spectacular job on their table decorations, especially the cute mini packs of ground coffee which really did give a lovely personal touch. Another of my favourites was the neon ‘Happily Ever After’ sign above the impressive sweet selection set up, which was, of course, a real favourite amongst the children - as well as those big kids (including Cameron) sneaking in the crowd!

Evening celebrations kicked off perfectly with some natural heartfelt moments shared along with many tears shed during the speeches. We couldn’t believe how quickly the evening passed packed with lots of laughing and chatter. Seamus and Robyn’s time for the wedding cake cut came around before we knew it along with the final formality of their evening - a truly beautiful first dance along with a very special guest (one of Robyn’s bridesmaids) appearance/performance on stage with the band which everyone thoroughly enjoyed!

We can’t thank Robyn and Seamus enough for choosing to share their special day with us, we enjoyed capturing your day in a lovely natural and documentary style. Robyn and Seamus were so pleased with their photos and videos that they have left us this lovely review below;

I couldn't recommend Cameron and Beth enough! My husband and I are so so happy with our photos and video of our wedding. When searching for the right person to capture our special day, we knew from Cameron's website he was the only person we wanted. The pictures are so beautiful, modern and manage to capture all the candid special moments we miss in the craziness of the day. Everyone we know has asked for copies as they are so lovely. We are so happy we went for the video package as well, as it allows us to relive the day. The editing of the video is perfect, and the use of our selected music is brilliant. On the day, Cameron and Beth were so lovely and kind, and made us feel so at ease. Even with a crazy rain storm where they were absolutely drenched, they didn't stop smiling. Thanks so much again both!
