It describes an exclusive-use wedding venue in the Suffolk countryside, a restored former working farm with licensed ceremony spaces and riverside views.

We photographed and filmed Sophie and Daniel's wedding here on 27 July 2023. Their day is the one in this guide: a ceremony in an oak-framed barn, confetti under a clay-tiled roof, a lot of tall pale grass and a small black and white dog.

Sophie and Daniel: a timber barn, confetti and tall pale grass

Sophie and Daniel married on 27 July 2023. The photograph at the top of this page is the two of them in tall pale grass beneath large trees, Daniel in a navy suit and Sophie in a lace gown, holding hands and looking at each other. On the lawn, Daniel holds the couple's small black and white dog while Sophie holds a bouquet of blush roses.

The ceremony is in a timber barn, the two of them kissing beside a tall arrangement of white flowers and greenery with their guests seated behind. Afterwards they walk hand in hand through thrown petals between friends and family beneath a clay-tiled barn roof.

Around them, an older guest in a corsage walks hand in hand with a boy in a navy suit beside terraced walls of rust-coloured steel. Later, Sophie and Daniel walk a mown path through the long grass towards a timber-clad barn, and kiss in the grass with the trees behind them.

The Ceremony Barn, the amphitheatre and the river lawn

The venue's pages name an oak-framed Ceremony Barn, which it describes as fully licensed and seating up to 200 guests, an outdoor amphitheatre for ceremonies, a Piano Bar and a Celebration Barn. Its FAQ page says drinks receptions can be held in the courtyard outside the Piano Bar and on the lawn outside the Celebration Barn, which runs down to the River Deben, when the weather is good. It does not give a rain plan or capacities for the other spaces, so ask the venue.

For the morning, the venue lists a Bridal Dressing Room steps from the Ceremony Barn, with salon-style chairs, mirrors for hair and make-up, a rainfall shower and a powder room. It says the party ends at 11.30pm, with 30 minutes to finish drinks, and that late licences are available. The in-house caterer is named as Snooty Goose, and the page says outside caterers are not allowed. The home page lists two packages in pounds, One Day from £16,000 and Relax and Stay from £19,000, so confirm what is current.

The Bakehouse and the Farmhouse

The venue names the Bakehouse, a one-bedroom cottage with a super king bed and an en suite for the couple, and the Farmhouse, for close friends and family. A Farmstead is also listed under Stay without details. The pages do not give bedroom numbers or how many people can sleep on site, so ask the venue.

Planning your photographs at Easton Grange

A few things worth asking the venue, and how we would plan around the answers:

1. Where the ceremony is: the Ceremony Barn or the amphitheatre. Tell us your plan and timings so we can arrange the morning around them.
2. Getting ready: ask when you can use the Bridal Dressing Room, since that is where the first photographs happen.
3. Group photographs: we do as many as you like and typically recommend around 15, which usually take about 20 minutes. The courtyard and the lawn give you room.
4. Portraits: we usually take a portrait walk of about 15 minutes, with photo and video together. The long grass, the mown paths and the barns around them give you very different backdrops.
5. Rain: the venue's FAQ does not give a rain plan, so agree an indoor option when you confirm the order of the day. In July, we check sunset and light times for your date in advance and agree the plan with you.

Cam and Beth have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together, so a barn venue with a river lawn, tall grass and a long meadow path is familiar territory. You get one conversation about the timetable, one set of questions for the venue and one plan for the portrait walk.

The photo and video team package carries a £120 deposit and a £400 saving over booking photography and videography separately. We are based near Cardiff, and travel across England and Wales is included in standard full-day packages. When the drive is over two hours we always stay in a hotel the night before and cover it.
