LOCAL WEDDING GUIDE & REAL WEDDINGS
Wedding Photographer and Videographer Near Carmarthenshire
A Llanelli reception, a Gower garden, an Upper Swansea Valley castle, the Pembrokeshire coast and a Ceredigion barn above the sea. Natural photographs and wedding films, with every venue labelled by its real county.

In short: Bright Sight is Cam and Beth, a photo and video duo based near Cardiff. We photograph and film weddings in Carmarthenshire and the neighbouring counties. This guide shows a Llanelli reception, a garden on Gower, a castle in the Upper Swansea Valley, a coastal house in Pembrokeshire and a barn above Mwnt beach in Ceredigion, each labelled with its real county. Standard full-day packages start at £1,999 for photography, £1,999 for videography or £3,699 for both, with travel included and a £120 deposit to secure your date.
Carmarthenshire wedding photography and videography, with time for your people
A Carmarthenshire wedding might mean a church in the morning and a reception near Llanelli by the afternoon, a stone farmhouse down a narrow lane or a country house in the hills above Llandeilo. The county borders Swansea and Gower to the east, Pembrokeshire to the west and the hills of Powys to the north, so couples here often look at venues across three or four counties before they choose.
Cam and Beth work as a photo and video duo from Cardiff, quietly in the background of your day. We want the person making you laugh before the ceremony, the faces in the pews and the hugs that go on a little too long to be in your photographs and your film, with no stiff posing and no long separation from your guests.
Because the evidence is small, we have kept this guide honest. Ruth and Rhodri at Waun Wyllt near Llanelli is the Carmarthenshire story. Gower, the Upper Swansea Valley, Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion are neighbouring areas where we have photographed and filmed, and each is labelled with its real county. Our Pembrokeshire guide and Swansea and Gower guide look at those areas in more depth.
01 / Near Llanelli, Carmarthenshire / Ruth & Rhodri
Waun Wyllt: autumn light, stone arches and a church ceremony
Ruth and Rhodri’s November wedding is our Carmarthenshire story. The reception was at Waun Wyllt near Llanelli, and the photographs follow the day in the order you would live it: shoes, rings and perfume laid out together, Ruth with the children beside her while she gets ready, then a quiet embrace beneath stone arches. Their church ceremony gives the day a second setting, so the story moves between places rather than staying at one address.

Out in the garden the autumn did the work. Ruth and Rhodri kiss on a lawn beneath trees turning orange, and Ruth stands with two guests under the same colours. Nobody is posed for long. We took a short walk during the afternoon, and the rest of the gallery is people being themselves, which is why the children and the guests matter as much as the couple.
If your own day has a church ceremony and a separate reception, list every address when you enquire: where you get ready, where you marry, where you celebrate. That tells us how long each move takes and where the film and the photographs should be placed. For a late autumn date, plan around the daylight left after the ceremony and ask the venue where you can step outside for a few minutes. Waun Wyllt has its own wedding information online, linked below, and your booking decides which spaces belong to your day.

02 / Gower, Swansea, across the Loughor estuary from Llanelli / Max & Gwen
Fairyhill: a Gower garden and a glass room looking to the woods
Gower is the nearest well known wedding coast east of Carmarthenshire, and Max and Gwen’s Fairyhill wedding shows its quieter side. They stand beside a camper van on a tree lined drive, embrace beneath a garden arch and kiss among the greenery, while the reception room, glass on one side, looks out towards woodland. The photographs are about two people at ease with the place they chose.

Fairyhill is in Gower in the City and County of Swansea, so it is a neighbouring venue rather than a Carmarthenshire one. We include it because couples around Llanelli and Carmarthen often compare it with their own shortlist, and because a country house with glass rooms behaves differently from a stone barn or a church hall. If you love the idea, ask which rooms are part of your booking, where guests gather between the ceremony and the meal, and how the evening moves once it gets dark.
A short walk in the garden fits naturally around the drinks reception. We usually suggest 15 to 20 minutes, give a little guidance when it helps and bring you back to your guests. You do not need an afternoon of portraits to remember how the place felt.

For current venue details, explore Fairyhill.
03 / Upper Swansea Valley, Powys, over the hills from Carmarthenshire / Sophie & Tom
Craig y Nos Castle: confetti in a theatre and a garden path
Sophie and Tom’s wedding takes you east into the Upper Swansea Valley. Craig y Nos Castle is in Powys, so it is a surrounding venue that sits just beyond Carmarthenshire, towards the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) side. Their story starts in a wood panelled room with Sophie laughing alongside a guest, then moves to confetti in the ornate theatre, an embrace in front of dark carved wood and flowers, and a quiet moment on a garden path beneath the trees.

A historic building changes how you plan. A ceremony in a theatre, a portrait on a garden path and an evening in a reception room each ask for different light, so we spend time before the day understanding which spaces you will use. On a viewing, ask about access, where older relatives can sit comfortably and what the route is between the ceremony and the room where you eat.
Confetti is a good example of how we work. We stay out of the way and watch the faces, and the best frame is usually the one where people forget a camera is there. If you are drawn to a castle or a theatre, the gallery can hold that grandeur and still feel like your own family.

04 / Near Tenby, Pembrokeshire, west of Carmarthenshire / Alicia & Martin
Waterwynch House: a coastal weekend with the dogs on the beach
Heading west from Carmarthenshire brings you to the Pembrokeshire coast, and Alicia and Martin’s wedding at Waterwynch House near Tenby is our example of what that coast can feel like. Martin adjusts his bow tie beside colourful flowers, Alicia is reflected in a mirror in her dress, and then the two of them are on the beach with the cliffs behind them and their dogs splashing in the shallow water.

Waterwynch House describes itself as an exclusive use house with sea views and direct beach access, so the whole weekend belongs to your group. That suits couples who want family close for a few days, and it suits our way of working: with no other wedding on site, we can wait for a quiet moment rather than rushing it. If a coastal house appeals, ask what is included, how many guests it sleeps and what the wet weather plan is for the ceremony.
You do not have to paddle to get a lovely coastal portrait. We pick a route close to the celebration, give you a little direction and let the moment settle. If your dogs are coming, arrange someone to look after them between photographs, so you can enjoy having them there.

05 / Mwnt, near Cardigan, Ceredigion, north-west of Carmarthenshire / Oli & Tara
The Shed at Mwnt: a film from a barn above the beach
Oli and Tara’s June wedding at The Shed at Mwnt is the one story here told only in film. We were booked as videographers, so there is no photo gallery to show you, and we would rather say so than borrow photographs from another day. The Shed is a converted cattle barn on a Ceredigion hillside above Mwnt beach, near Cardigan, in the county north-west of Carmarthenshire.
We include it because couples looking at west Wales often compare Carmarthenshire with the Ceredigion coast, and a video-only booking is a real option when you already have a photographer. If that is you, tell us who is photographing and when the key moments happen, so the film and the photographs share one timeline. Watch Oli and Tara’s highlight in the films section below to see how a barn wedding by the sea feels in motion.

Planning photography and film around your Carmarthenshire wedding
Two places, one day
Many Carmarthenshire weddings have a church or chapel ceremony and a reception somewhere else. Ruth and Rhodri’s day is a good example. Plan the gap between them: guests leaving the building, drivers finding the reception, and the few minutes before the meal when everyone is catching up. Give us both addresses and we will build the morning around the real journey.
Coast road, hill road
From Llanelli you can be on the Loughor estuary or out into farmland within minutes, and a venue in the hills can add a slower drive on narrow lanes. Share your preparation, ceremony and reception addresses before fixing the timetable, and add a margin for a tractor, a farm gate or a road you do not know. Do not rely on a guess about how long a country road will take.
Autumn and winter light
Ruth and Rhodri married in November and still found time outside beneath the autumn trees. For an autumn or winter date, ask your venue for a ceremony time that leaves a little daylight, and choose a warm indoor space you like for the rest of the afternoon. Hill weather changes quickly, so a plan that works in drizzle takes the pressure off.
Choose the setting that suits your day
The venues in this guide show a useful range. Waun Wyllt is a countryside reception after a church ceremony. Fairyhill on Gower is a country house with glass rooms and gardens. Craig y Nos Castle is a historic castle with its own theatre. Waterwynch House is an exclusive use coastal house. When you view, ask where family photographs could happen, which room you would use if it rains and how far guests walk between the ceremony and drinks.
Before you enquire: note your date, your ceremony venue and where you will get ready, even if that is a family home. If you are still choosing between a chapel, a country house and a coastal venue, tell us the shortlist and we can talk through how each tends to work for photographs and film.

One photo and video duo for a wedding that crosses counties

Hiring photography and film from one team means one conversation about your timetable instead of two. Cam and Beth have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together since 2016, so on the day they already know who takes the ceremony from the aisle and who watches the reactions. If your wedding moves from a church to a reception, nobody has to stop and repeat a moment for a second camera.
Our combined photo and video team package has a £120 deposit and a £300 saving compared with booking photography and videography separately. We are based near Cardiff, with travel across England and Wales included in our standard full-day packages. For multiple locations or custom timings, tell us your plans so we can confirm the arrangements with you.
A Carmarthenshire wedding videographer for the parts you want to hear again
A photograph holds the look on someone’s face. A film keeps the sound around it: a voice catching on a vow, the pause before a speech and the room joining in when the dancing starts. We film so the highlight follows your day in order, rather than reading as a montage of scenery.
Our full-day video packages include a 7 to 10 minute highlight and a 40+ minute documentary film, including the complete ceremony and speeches. Everything is recorded twice as it happens and backed up again that night. Watch Ruth and Rhodri’s highlight from Waun Wyllt and Oli and Tara’s highlight from The Shed at Mwnt in Ceredigion below.

The Shed at Mwnt: Oli and Tara’s Ceredigion wedding on film
Oli and Tara’s highlight is a surrounding-area film from the Ceredigion coast, north-west of Carmarthenshire. We filmed their wedding at The Shed at Mwnt as videographers, so this is a video only example. The venue is a converted cattle barn overlooking Mwnt beach. If you are weighing a barn by the sea against a country house inland, watch how the day moves between the building, the land around it and the people.

Do you photograph and film weddings in Carmarthenshire?
Yes. Cam and Beth cover Llanelli, Carmarthen, Llandeilo and the surrounding countryside with documentary wedding photography and film. We are based near Cardiff, with travel across England and Wales included in standard full-day packages. Send your date and venue to check availability.
Which real weddings can we see in this guide?
Ruth and Rhodri celebrated at Waun Wyllt near Llanelli, which is our Carmarthenshire story. Neighbouring weddings are labelled with their real places: Max and Gwen at Fairyhill on Gower, Sophie and Tom at Craig y Nos Castle in Powys, Alicia and Martin at Waterwynch House in Pembrokeshire and Oli and Tara at The Shed at Mwnt in Ceredigion, which is video only. Two highlight films are included, from Waun Wyllt and from The Shed at Mwnt.
Do we need to pose for a long time?
No. We usually take a relaxed 15 to 20 minute portrait walk near your celebration, with gentle guidance when it helps. Most of the day is captured as it unfolds so you can enjoy your guests.
What should we plan for with a church ceremony and a separate reception?
List every address and the time you need to be at each one. Allow for guests leaving the church, travel to the reception and a short gap before the meal, so the film and photographs follow the day without rushing you. In autumn and winter, ask your venue for a ceremony time that leaves a little daylight afterwards.
Can you cover venues on the coast, in the hills and across the estuary?
Often, yes, subject to the locations and agreed coverage. Carmarthenshire borders Swansea, Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Powys, so a wedding can mean country lanes, a coast road or a mountain pass. Send the preparation and ceremony addresses so we can check travel and plan the morning.
How much does a Carmarthenshire wedding photographer and videographer cost?
Our standard full-day packages start at £1,999 for photography, £1,999 for videography and £3,699 for photography and videography together. Travel across England and Wales is included, so a venue near Llanelli or in the hills is priced the same way as a wedding near Cardiff. Longer packages add more coverage and extras, and the package pages show the current inclusions.
Can we book photography and videography together?
Yes. Our photo and video team package brings Cam and Beth together with one shared timetable, a £120 deposit and a £300 saving compared with separate bookings. Full-day video packages include a 7 to 10 minute highlight and a 40+ minute documentary film. See the package pages for current prices and inclusions.
