LOCAL WEDDING GUIDE & REAL WEDDINGS
Wedding Photographer and Videographer Near Kent
A lakeside orangery in Maidstone, a Grade I listed mansion near Canterbury, a woodland glade and two weddings at one estate above Hythe. Natural photographs and wedding films, with every venue labelled by its real place.

In short: Bright Sight is Cam and Beth, a photo and video duo based near Cardiff. We photograph and film weddings across Kent and just over its borders. This guide shows a garden venue in Maidstone, a mansion near Canterbury, a woodland glade near Sittingbourne, an estate near Edenbridge and two weddings at Hayne House near Hythe, plus a village hall near Rye in East Sussex, each labelled with its real place. Standard full-day packages start at £1,999 for photography, £1,999 for videography or £3,699 for both, with travel included and a £120 deposit to secure your date.
Kent wedding photography and videography, from the Medway to the coast
Kent is a county of very different weekends. You might marry in a garden at Maidstone with a lake and a waterfall, in a seventeenth-century mansion south of Canterbury, in a clearing among oak trees near the Medway or in a family estate above Hythe with the sea not far away. The county is close enough to London that many guests arrive by train, and rural enough that the last few miles are usually by car.
Cam and Beth work as a photo and video duo, quietly in the background of your day. We want the child who needs a word before the ceremony, the dog who joins the portraits and the long evening dance floor to be in your gallery and film, with no stiff posing and no long separation from your guests.
We have kept the labelling honest. Kevin and Diana, Victoria and Benson, Paige and Connor, Katherine and Ryan, Charlotte and Oli and Alice and Ricky all married in Kent. Alexandra and Row’s venue at Udimore is just across the border in East Sussex, near Rye, and is named that way. For nearby celebrations, our London guide, Surrey guide and Essex guide look at the country around.
01 / Turkey Mill, Maidstone / Kevin & Diana
The Orangery: a dress at the window, a rope swing and a lit arcade at dusk
Kevin and Diana married at The Orangery in Maidstone in August 2022. The photographs we chose for them start quietly, with a wedding dress hanging at a tall window in black and white while the bride has her hair finished, and then step outside to a rope swing against an old stone wall, where the two of them stop for a kiss.

The Orangery describes landscaped gardens with a lake, a waterfall and a woodland walk, so a couple here has real places to wander rather than one lawn to repeat. It offers three ceremony spaces for up to 150 guests: the lakeside Lapa, the Gazebo and the weatherproof Garden Room. Ask which one fits your numbers and what the plan is if the forecast turns. The site was once a cloth mill and later a paper mill, and the water is part of its character.
The last two photographs show what a garden like this does at the end of the day: five groomsmen in grey suits with red details walking back along the gravel towards the party, and the couple in low evening sun under tall trees. Kevin and Diana’s highlight film is in the films section below.

02 / Chiddingstone, near Edenbridge / Katherine & Ryan
Bore Place: confetti on the lawn, a flower-framed barn and a dip on the dance floor
Katherine and Ryan married at Bore Place in Chiddingstone in May 2024. Their walk through a shower of confetti on the lawn, a kiss in front of a timber barn dressed with flowers and a quiet portrait against a brick doorway all happen within a few steps of each other, which is part of the appeal of a working estate with its own barn and gardens.

Chiddingstone is in the west of Kent, close to the Surrey and Sussex borders, so a wedding here suits couples whose guests are coming from London or the home counties as well as from within Kent. The photograph that closes their story is a dip on a wooden dance floor, a reminder that the evening deserves as much attention as the lawn. Check the venue’s own information for accommodation, ceremony alternatives and finishing times.

03 / Upchurch, near Sittingbourne / Paige & Connor
The Oak Grove: bridesmaids laughing in a woodland glade
Paige and Connor married at The Oak Grove between Upchurch and Lower Halstow, near Sittingbourne, in July 2025. We have one photograph from their gallery in this guide, and it holds a lot: a bride laughing in the middle of her bridesmaids, all in pale blue with their bouquets, under the oak trees.

The Oak Grove describes a woodland clearing with stretch tents for the reception, in the quiet North Kent countryside beside the Saxon Shore Way. A woodland venue changes light quickly, so ask what lighting the tents have after dark, where guests can shelter if it rains and how the ground will be on the day. Those answers tell us how much time to leave for portraits before dinner.
For current venue details, explore The Oak Grove.
04 / Barham, near Canterbury / Victoria & Benson
Broome Park: robes with sunglasses, a brick mansion and a bouncy castle
Victoria and Benson’s wedding at Broome Park in June 2023 is the most playful in this guide. The morning begins on a sofa with a row of bridesmaids in white robes and towel turbans, all in sunglasses, and the portraits end with the whole wedding party sitting on the lawn in front of the red-brick mansion while the couple kiss.

Broome Park is a Grade I listed seventeenth-century mansion about 15 minutes from Canterbury, with Italian gardens, woodland lodges and a wedding marquee. That lets the ceremony, meal and evening stay on one estate. The bouncy castle photograph, a bride in a full white gown mid jump with bridesmaids and children in pale blue, is the kind of moment that only happens when a day has room for it, so we suggest leaving a little unplanned time after the formal portraits.

05 / Saltwood, near Hythe / Charlotte & Oli
Hayne House: a gazebo, a small dog and a piggyback in the evening
Charlotte and Oli married at Hayne House near Hythe in June 2025, and their gallery has a great deal in it. A groom kneels in a wooden bay window to talk to a small boy in a matching suit, a bride holds her bouquet in a bright room with a bay window and the walk along the garden path passes a half-timbered house.

Confetti beside a white gazebo, a small dog welcomed into the portraits and a black and white laugh close up all happen in the same grounds, and the evening ends with a piggyback along a lamplit drive and a dramatic dip on the dance floor. Hayne House describes itself as a family-run, exclusive-use venue on a private estate above Hythe, with woodland walks, an orangery for dining and three licensed ceremony spaces, so a day can stay in one place from the getting-ready rooms to the last dance.
If children, a dog or a ceremony outdoors matter to you, mention them when we plan the timeline. Small moments like these are worth leaving a few minutes for, and an estate with its own rooms makes that easy.

06 / Saltwood, near Hythe / Alice & Ricky
Hayne House in September: robes, a glass-roofed ceremony and pampas grass
Alice and Ricky married at Hayne House on 1 September 2022, almost three years before Charlotte and Oli in the same grounds. Their photographs begin on a bed, with bridesmaids in pink robes laughing together, and a quiet moment beside a tall window while a bridesmaid straightens the dress.

The ceremony photograph shows the two of them holding hands and smiling at each other beneath a glass roof, with guests behind. Out in the garden a groom in a black bow tie and a bride in an off-the-shoulder gown pause beside stone steps, and the last photograph is a kiss among tall pampas grass. Two couples, two seasons and two quite different corners of one estate show how much a single venue can give you when the day is allowed to unfold. Their highlight film is in the films section below.

07 / Udimore, near Rye / Alexandra & Row
St Mary’s Hall: a Rye street, a panelled room and confetti outside
Alexandra and Row married on 16 July 2022, and the venue on their booking is St Mary’s Hall in Udimore, a village a few miles outside Rye in East Sussex. We include them as a nearby wedding because Rye is close to the Kent border, and their photographs follow the day through the town: a dress hanging in a tall window behind velvet curtains, a bride walking along a Rye street with her father and guests, and a ceremony in a panelled room beneath a chandelier.

Confetti, laughter and a crowd gathering on the street outside the ceremony are the kind of unscripted moments we like best, and the evening ends in warm light on a gravel path. St Mary’s Hall is a village hall beside St Mary’s Church with a lawn for a marquee, and its website offers full weekend hire from Friday afternoon to Sunday lunchtime. A day that moves from a town ceremony to a village hall needs a clear timetable for the drive, so send us your addresses early and we will plan the morning around them.

Planning photography and film around your Kent wedding
Guests from London and beyond
High-speed trains reach Ashford, Canterbury and Folkestone, but a venue such as Broome Park, Hayne House or The Oak Grove is usually a taxi or a drive from the station. Think about how older relatives and anyone with young children will travel, and plan a sensible gap for arrivals so nobody is rushing past the photographs you care about.
Gardens, lakes and woodland
The Orangery has a lake, a waterfall and a woodland walk, and The Oak Grove sits in a clearing among oak trees. Both look wonderful in good light and need a little planning when the weather is wet or the evening comes early. Ask your venue where guests can shelter, what lighting the paths have after dark and which room you would use for portraits if the garden is out of reach.
Weddings that stay in one place
Hayne House and Broome Park both let the ceremony, meal and evening happen on one estate, with accommodation on site, which keeps the timetable calm and leaves room for the moments you do not plan, such as a bouncy castle or a piggyback along the drive. If you are choosing a venue where ceremony and reception are apart, list every address and the time you need to be at each.
Near the coast and the border
If your wedding is near Hythe, Folkestone or over the border near Rye, allow for coastal wind and quick changes in the weather, and tell us early if the ceremony is in a town while the reception is in a village hall. A short drive between the two is easy to plan for when we know the addresses in advance.
Before you enquire: note your date, the ceremony venue and where you will get ready, even if that is a family home. If you are still choosing between an estate with its own rooms and a barn or woodland site, tell us your shortlist and we can talk through how each tends to work for photographs and film.

One photo and video duo for a wedding that spans town and countryside

Hiring photography and film from one team means one conversation about your timetable instead of two. Cam and Beth have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together since 2016, so on the day they already know who takes the ceremony from the aisle and who watches the reactions. If your wedding moves from a town ceremony to a garden or a village hall, nobody has to stop and repeat a moment for a second camera.
Our combined photo and video team package has a £120 deposit and a £300 saving compared with booking photography and videography separately. We are based near Cardiff, with travel across England and Wales included in our standard full-day packages. For multiple locations or custom timings, tell us your plans so we can confirm the arrangements with you.
A Kent wedding videographer for the parts you want to hear again
A photograph holds the look on someone’s face. A film keeps the sound around it: a voice catching on a vow, the pause before a speech and the room joining in when the dancing starts. We film so the highlight follows your day in order, rather than reading as a montage of scenery.
Our full-day video packages include a 7 to 10 minute highlight and a 40+ minute documentary film, including the complete ceremony and speeches. Everything is recorded twice as it happens and backed up again that night. Watch Kevin and Diana’s highlight from The Orangery in Maidstone and Alice and Ricky’s highlight from Hayne House near Hythe below.

Do you photograph and film weddings in Kent?
Yes. Cam and Beth cover Maidstone, Canterbury, Sittingbourne, Hythe, Sevenoaks, Edenbridge and the countryside in between with documentary wedding photography and film, and they work across the border into East Sussex and Surrey too. We are based near Cardiff, with travel across England and Wales included in standard full-day packages. Send your date and venue to check availability.
Which real weddings can we see in this guide?
Kevin and Diana at The Orangery in Maidstone, Victoria and Benson at Broome Park near Canterbury, Paige and Connor at The Oak Grove near Sittingbourne, Katherine and Ryan at Bore Place near Edenbridge, and Charlotte and Oli and Alice and Ricky at Hayne House near Hythe are all Kent weddings. Alexandra and Row at St Mary’s Hall in Udimore are a short way over the border in East Sussex and are labelled that way. Two highlight films are included, from The Orangery and Hayne House.
Do we need to pose for a long time?
No. We usually take a relaxed 15 to 20 minute portrait walk near your celebration, with gentle guidance when it helps. Most of the day is captured as it unfolds so you can enjoy your guests.
Many of our guests are coming from London. How should we plan the day?
Tell us where the station, the hotels and the venue are, and how long guests will need between them. High-speed trains from London reach Ashford, Canterbury and Folkestone, but most Kent venues need a car or a pre-booked taxi for the last few miles, so leave a margin for arrivals and share the timetable early. That way nobody is rushing past the photographs you care about.
Can you work in a garden venue, a mansion and a woodland glade?
Often, yes, subject to the locations and agreed coverage. The weddings in this guide include a lakeside garden venue in Maidstone, a Grade I listed mansion near Canterbury, a woodland glade with stretch tents near Sittingbourne, a working estate near Edenbridge and a family-run estate above Hythe. Send your preparation, ceremony and reception addresses so we can check travel and plan the morning.
How much does a Kent wedding photographer and videographer cost?
Our standard full-day packages start at £1,999 for photography, £1,999 for videography and £3,699 for photography and videography together. Travel across England and Wales is included, so a venue in Kent is priced the same way as a wedding near Cardiff. Longer packages add more coverage and extras, and the package pages show the current inclusions.
Can we book photography and videography together?
Yes. Our photo and video team package brings Cam and Beth together with one shared timetable, a £120 deposit and a £300 saving compared with booking separately. Full-day video packages include a 7 to 10 minute highlight and a 40+ minute documentary film. See the package pages for current coverage and prices.
