YORKSHIRE COAST & EAST RIDING WEDDING GUIDE & REAL WEDDINGS
Wedding Photographer and Videographer Near the Yorkshire Coast and East Riding
A stone house and a pond near Scarborough, a country inn near Hull with confetti on the lawn and a country house near Goole with a red maple beside its pond. Natural photographs and wedding films from the east side of Yorkshire, with every venue labelled by where it really is.

In short: Bright Sight is Cam and Beth, a photo and video duo based near Cardiff. This guide follows five real weddings on the east side of Yorkshire: two days at Hackness Grange near Scarborough, a wedding at a country inn near Hull and another at a country house near Goole in the East Riding, with Carlton Towers near Goole in North Yorkshire as a labelled neighbour. Standard full-day packages start at £2,099 for photography, £2,099 for videography or £3,799 for both, with travel included and a £120 deposit to secure your date.
Weddings on Yorkshire's east side: moors, coast, estuary and wolds
Most guides to Yorkshire weddings start in York or the Dales. This one looks east, towards Scarborough and the coast, down to Hull on the Humber and across the flat farmland of the East Riding. It is a long side of the county, and a couple here often has guests arriving from Leeds, Teesside and further south, so the planning has as much to do with roads and rooms as with the venue itself.
We have photographed and filmed weddings in all three corners of it, and the guide starts at Carlton Towers, just inside North Yorkshire. Two couples married at Hackness Grange, a stone house at Hackness, a little inland from Scarborough, one in a warm August and one in early spring. A third had a wedding at a country inn near Hull, a fourth at a country house near Goole, and a fifth at Carlton Towers, just across the county line in North Yorkshire. Each story below says where the venue really is, because the East Riding and North Yorkshire are different counties even when they feel like one journey.
We work quietly around the day. You stay with your guests, we step in only when a little direction helps, and the photographs and film grow out of what actually happens: soap bubbles on a staircase, friends throwing confetti on a lawn, a pair of pugs in bow ties. Our North Yorkshire and York and Harrogate guides cover the west of the county.
01 / Carlton, near Goole, North Yorkshire / Yukki & Leslie
Carlton Towers: a long table, clear umbrellas and sparklers to end the day
Carlton Towers is a country house at Carlton, near Goole and just inside North Yorkshire, which is why it is a labelled neighbour in this guide rather than an East Riding wedding. Yukki and Leslie married there in October 2023.

It rained, and the clear umbrellas made the day: the two walk across the gravel under a lace-trimmed white umbrella and a clear one with confetti flying around them, and later Leslie lifts Yukki off the ground in front of a wall of red and green ivy. Inside there is a long table with flowers and candles beneath a timber ceiling and chandeliers, and the day ends in the dark with guests holding sparklers on both sides of the couple.
If you are planning an October wedding, buy a few good umbrellas and decide early where portraits will happen if the rain does not stop. Yukki and Leslie’s day is a reminder that weather is part of the photographs, not something to apologise for.

02 / Hackness, near Scarborough, North Yorkshire / Chloe & Christian and Pippa & Dylan
Hackness Grange: a white staircase, two pugs and fireworks over the pond
Hackness Grange is at Hackness, a little inland from Scarborough, and we have photographed two weddings here, four years apart. The portrait at the top of this guide is Pippa and Dylan’s: a kiss under a canopy of fairy lights with soap bubbles drifting around them.

On the stairs the couple stand close above a black iron balustrade wound with greenery and white flowers, and out on the lawn two pugs in bow ties sit in front of them while the two kiss. In April, Chloe and Christian crossed a small arched bridge lined with white flowers in the trees, walking with an older woman in black, and later stood together on the lawn with the stone house and its reflection in the pond behind them.
The day ended with fireworks, and the photograph of the two of them with their arms around each other as the sky lights up is a reminder to ask early what your venue allows after dark. If you want something like it, agree the timing and who will let them off before the day, and keep it away from the moment you most want to remember in the light.

For current venue details, explore Hackness Grange.
03 / Near Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire / Karis & Dane
Gardeners Country Inn: a ceremony in the room, confetti on the lawn and a walk down the lane
Karis and Dane married at the Gardeners Country Inn near Hull on 21 May 2022, with a ceremony in a room dressed with a white floral arch and guests packed in close on both sides. Their first kiss is the first photograph here, with the front rows applauding.

Outside, the day opens up. The couple stand together in a small timber porch with a bouquet of white roses, and on the lawn their friends and family throw confetti in front of the red-brick inn with its sign on the wall. In black and white, Dane looks at Karis as she holds the bouquet, and the reception room behind it is dressed in white with teal ribbons on the chair backs.
Their last photographs are the quietest. A path between flowering hedges, a kiss in the long grass and Dane spinning Karis on the grass show that a country inn does not need a large estate behind it to give you somewhere to be together.
If you are choosing an inn for your wedding, ask which room is used for the ceremony and which for the meal, how long the changeover takes and where guests wait in the meantime. A change like that is easy to plan around if you know it is coming.

04 / Near Goole, East Riding of Yorkshire / Abbey & Grant
A house near Goole: an archway of flowers, a walled garden and a long walk back across the lawn
Abbey and Grant married at a country house near Goole on 14 May 2022. Their ceremony was in a garden, beneath a flowered arch with guests in rows on the grass, and the first photograph is their kiss under it.

Afterwards guests lined the gravel with confetti in front of the pale stone house as the two walked out hand in hand, and at the table Abbey laughed so hard that Grant wiped his eye behind her. The photographs that follow wander through the garden: a kiss beneath tall trees, the two close together beside a pool framed by an autumn-red maple, a pause beneath a brick archway and a walk back across the lawn towards the house.
A garden wedding rewards a few minutes of planning. Ask where the ceremony would move if it rained and how many guests that room holds, and think about whether you would like confetti, bubbles or neither on the day. If you have a favourite part of the garden, tell us on the morning and we will find the light around it.

Planning a wedding on the Yorkshire coast or in the East Riding
A long county and a long drive
This side of Yorkshire is spread out, so a guest list that spans the coast, Hull and Goole needs a clear plan. Share a short transport note with directions, parking and taxi numbers, and ask your venue whether guests can stay on site, because the nearest town can be a way off after the evening party.
Gardens, ponds and the weather
Hackness Grange, the inn near Hull and the house near Goole all spent time outside, which suits the open ground here and asks for a plan B. Ask where your ceremony, drinks and group photographs would move to if it rains, and how long that move takes guests.
Spring light, summer light, late light
Chloe and Christian married in April and ended with fireworks, so their day needed a late evening plan. Pippa and Dylan married in August, when the light is long. Whichever season you choose, tell us the sunset time on your date and we will talk through where portraits fit around it.
A wedding that is not on the coast
Couples sometimes assume a Yorkshire coast guide means a beach wedding. In practice the weddings here were in gardens and country houses in the area, not on the beach. If you are planning the coast itself, ask the venue about tide, wind and access for older guests before you commit to a time.
How we travel to you
The Yorkshire coast and the East Riding are more than two hours from our base near Cardiff, so we always stay in a hotel the night before and cover it. That means traffic on the morning cannot affect your day, and travel across England and Wales is included in our standard full-day packages.
Before you enquire: list the places your day will use, from where you get ready to where guests sleep, and note how far each is from the next. Send it with your date and venue and we can talk through the order of the day.
For the west of the county, see our North Yorkshire and York and Harrogate guides, and for the neighbouring Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire side the Nottingham and Sheffield guides.
Hearing the day again: wedding films on Yorkshire's east side
A photograph keeps a face. A film keeps the voice that goes with it: the laugh in a speech, the quiet before the vows, the sound of a lawn full of people when the confetti goes up. We film the way we photograph, from the edge of your day and without asking you to repeat anything for the camera.
Our highlights follow your day in the order it happened, so watching one feels like the day again rather than a trailer for it.
Our full-day video packages include a 7 to 10 minute highlight and a 40+ minute documentary film. Explore the wedding videography package for current inclusions, or browse our wedding films for more celebrations.
One team for the photographs and the film from Scarborough to Goole

Booking photography and film with the same team means one conversation about the timetable, one set of questions for your venue and one plan for the couple portraits. Cam and Beth have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together since 2016, so a house with a pond, an inn with a lawn and a day that moves between them are familiar ground.
The photo and video team package carries a £120 deposit and a £400 saving over booking photography and videography separately. We are based near Cardiff, and travel across England and Wales is included in standard full-day packages, so a venue near Scarborough and one near Hull are priced the same way. If your day uses more than one location or has an unusual timetable, tell us the plan and we will confirm how it fits.
Questions about photography and film on the Yorkshire coast and in the East Riding
Do you photograph and film weddings on the Yorkshire coast and in the East Riding?
Yes. Cam and Beth are based near Cardiff and travel across England and Wales is included in standard full-day packages. We have photographed and filmed weddings near Scarborough, Hull and Goole, and this guide also shows a neighbouring wedding at Carlton Towers. Send your date and venue and we will tell you whether we are free.
Which real weddings can we see in this guide?
Chloe and Christian in April 2026 and Pippa and Dylan in August 2022 at Hackness Grange near Scarborough, Karis and Dane at a country inn near Hull in May 2022 and Abbey and Grant at a country house near Goole in May 2022 are on the east side of Yorkshire. Yukki and Leslie at Carlton Towers near Goole in October 2023 is across the county line in North Yorkshire and is labelled that way.
Is this just a coastal guide?
No. Hackness Grange is a short way inland from Scarborough, and the other weddings are in the East Riding countryside and on its edge. We include them because couples searching for the Yorkshire coast often have a wider area in mind, and each story says exactly where the venue is.
Do you travel to Yorkshire for weddings?
Yes. Travel across England and Wales is included in our standard full-day packages. For a wedding this far from home we always stay in a hotel the night before and cover it, so the journey cannot affect the day.
Can you photograph a day that moves between a church, a house and a garden?
Yes. Tell us every address and roughly how long guests will take to move between them, and we will plan the photographs and film around your actual order of the day.
What if the weather turns?
Agree an indoor alternative with your venue before the day and keep it in mind when you choose your timings. Yukki and Leslie’s October wedding at Carlton Towers was rainy and the photographs are among the best, so a wet-weather plan you are happy with is the main thing.
How much does a Yorkshire coast or East Riding wedding photographer and videographer cost?
Our standard full-day packages start at £2,099 for photography, £2,099 for videography and £3,799 for photography and videography together. Travel across England and Wales is included, so a wedding near Scarborough and one near Hull are priced in the same way. Larger packages extend the coverage and add extras, and the package pages show what is included today.
Can we book photography and videography as one team?
Yes. Our photo and video team package puts both under one booking with a £120 deposit, and it carries a £400 saving compared with booking them separately. Check the package page for current prices and coverage.
