Perched high on Thornhill with sweeping panoramic vistas across Cardiff, the Vale and the Severn Estuary, New House Country Hotel is a classic Welsh country house venue. Its elevated position gives couples an extraordinary setting for ceremonies in the Garden Marquee, sunny terrace drinks receptions, and sunset portraits as the city lights begin to glow in the evening.
The venue's wedding spaces are the Glass Pergola, whose roof can retract, the Wyndham Suite and the Garden Marquee, with the Suite and the Marquee each holding up to 200 guests. From a photography and filmmaking perspective, the changing natural light across the hillside and the sheltered garden lawns provide endless creative opportunities throughout every season.

Canada Lodge and Lake, Creigiau, Cardiff

The venue's wedding page describes The Lodge as “a picturesque venue for up to 120 day guests and 180 evening guests”, with a ceremony room that has “a rustic feel with crackling wood burning fires” and a separate lakeside wedding breakfast room that opens onto a patio. How much does a wedding photographer and videographer cost near Cardiff?
Our standard full-day packages start at £2,099 for photography, £2,099 for videography and £3,799 for photography and videography together. Travel across England and Wales is included in standard full-day packages, so choosing a venue in or around Cardiff does not change the standard price. Luxury and Platinum packages add coverage hours, albums and extra films.

You do not need to know how to pose. We give gentle direction when it helps, usually during a relaxed 15-minute portrait walk, and document the rest of the day as it unfolds. Tell us about any worries and the moments that matter most so we can make the experience comfortable for you.
What does your standard photo and video team package include?
Our standard combined package includes 10.5 continuous hours of coverage with a photographer and videographer, 600–800+ edited photographs, 15 sneak peeks, a 7–10 minute highlight film and a documentary edit, typically 40+ minutes. The package page sets out current delivery details and extras. Drone footage depends on safe flying conditions, permissions and the location.
