In short: Bright Sight is Cam and Beth, a photo and video duo based near Cardiff. We photograph and film weddings in Leeds and across Yorkshire. This guide shows a park house in Roundhay and a hotel in Gildersome, both in Leeds, plus a hilltop house near Wetherby, a barn at Bolton Abbey and a country house near Goole, each labelled with its real place. Standard full-day packages start at £1,999 for photography, £1,999 for videography or £3,699 for both, with travel included and a £120 deposit to secure your date.

Leeds wedding photography and videography, from the city to the Dales

A Leeds wedding rarely stays in one postcode. You might marry in a park mansion at Roundhay, hold the evening at a hotel on the south-west edge of the city or choose a barn in Wharfedale because guests can reach it by train and a short taxi. Leeds sits where the M1, M62 and A1(M) meet, so couples here often weigh venues in the city, around Wetherby and Harrogate and out towards the Dales before they settle.

Cam and Beth work as a photo and video duo, quietly in the background of your day. We want the relative who cannot stop smiling during the speeches, the grandparent on the dance floor and the minutes between photographs to be in your gallery and film, with no stiff posing and no long separation from your guests.

We have kept the labelling honest. Sally and Lewis at The Mansion and Analise and Mcauly at Woodlands Hotel are Leeds weddings. Brittany and Callum near Wetherby, Amber and Will at Bolton Abbey and Yukki and Leslie near Goole are a drive from the city, and each is named for its real place. Our Sheffield guide and Derbyshire guide look at the country to the south.

01 / Roundhay Park, Leeds / Sally & Lewis

The Mansion: columns, window light and a quiet aisle

Sally and Lewis’s September wedding at The Mansion in Roundhay Park is the Leeds city story in this guide. The photograph at the top of the page comes from their ceremony, at the end of the aisle. Sally’s portrait in soft window light, with an apricot and cream bouquet, shows how calm the room felt before she walked in, and the portrait in front of the building’s tall columns shows the setting without hiding the two of them.

A park house gives you a backdrop that is already there, but it has its own rhythm: the ceremony room, the lawns and the terrace each have different light and different people close by. On a viewing, ask where the two of you could slip outside for ten minutes and where family groups can gather without holding up your guests. Roundhay is in north-east Leeds, so think early about how people will arrive and where they will stay.

02 / Gildersome, south-west Leeds / Analise & Mcauly

Woodlands Hotel: a room full of listening and a ring close up

Analise and Mcauly married at Woodlands Hotel in Gildersome in August 2022. Three photographs carry their story for us: the reception room listening to a speaker, the two of them kissing beneath trees in the hotel grounds and a close view of their rings. Together they show how much of a wedding happens between the big moments.

A hotel with an event space of its own suits couples who want the ceremony, the meal and the evening under one roof. Woodlands’ own website describes The Orangery as holding up to 250 guests, so ask which room your numbers need and where speeches will happen. If words matter to you, send us the running order so that the photographs and film can follow both the speaker and the faces listening. Their highlight film is in the films section below.

03 / Linton, near Wetherby, Yorkshire / Brittany & Callum

Wood Hall: invitations, an ivy doorway and a long walk across the lawn

Brittany and Callum’s August 2024 wedding at Wood Hall Hotel moves in the order you would live it. An invitation lies beside shoes, rings and perfume, then Brittany stands at a tall curtained window while a relative helps with her dress. After the ceremony there is a kiss in an ivy covered doorway and a long walk across the lawn with Brittany looking back at the house.

Wood Hall is in Linton, near Wetherby, and the hotel’s own wedding page describes a hilltop house within about 100 acres. Wetherby sits at the northern edge of the Leeds area, close to the A1(M), which can suit guests travelling from both north and south. On a viewing, ask where you could get ready in the house and how the afternoon light falls across the lawn.

The confetti photograph outside the house is a reminder of something simple. Check with the venue where confetti is allowed, and let guests know before the ceremony, so that the photograph you hope for is one you can actually have.

04 / Bolton Abbey, near Skipton, North Yorkshire / Amber & Will

The Tithe Barn: oak beams above a table of white flowers

Amber and Will’s July 2025 wedding at The Tithe Barn is the Wharfedale story in this guide, a drive north-west of the city. The photographs begin in a sunlit room with Will’s groomsmen raising their glasses, then move to Amber’s veil being set at the window. Inside the barn, Amber and Will kiss over a table of white flowers while guests cheer from the rows of chairs below the timbers.

The estate describes the barn as overlooking the Wharfe valley, so the light can change quickly between the bright windows and the dark beams. A black and white photograph of the two of them leaving an arched stone doorway, and a quiet embrace beneath tall trees, show the two halves of the day: the building, then the people.

Because a Dales venue is further from the city, plan the guest day around the journey: where visitors stay, how they arrive and when the best light falls outside. Share your timetable early and we can help you leave room for portraits.

05 / Carlton, near Goole, North Yorkshire / Yukki & Leslie

Carlton Towers: chandeliers, clear umbrellas and sparklers

Yukki and Leslie’s October wedding at Carlton Towers is the furthest east we go in this guide, a country house near Goole, south-east of Leeds. Leslie waits beside a tall window, the two of them hold hands during the ceremony beneath chandeliers, and a long table runs beneath a timber ceiling. Out in the garden there are quiet portraits, and guests surround the two of them with clear umbrellas and confetti.

The day finishes with sparklers, and the contrast with the calm morning is part of why we like it. Carlton Towers describes itself as an exclusive use venue. If you are choosing a house like this, ask what exclusive use includes overnight and plan with us how the day moves from room to room, so there is time for portraits before the evening. Yukki and Leslie’s highlight film is below.

Planning photography and film around your Leeds wedding

One building or several

A hotel or park house such as The Mansion and Woodlands lets the ceremony, meal and evening happen in one place, which keeps the timetable calm. A barn or country house further out may split the day between a church or register office, the venue and a hotel for guests. List every address and the time you need to be at each, and tell us if there is a wait between them.

Trains, taxis and the A1(M)

Leeds station makes the city easy for visitors, but a venue near Wetherby, Skipton or Goole usually means a car or a pre-booked taxi. Think about how older relatives and anyone with young children will travel, and plan a sensible gap for arrivals so nobody is rushing past the photographs you care about.

Getting ready somewhere else

Several of the weddings here began with preparations at the venue itself: a window with good light, a tall curtain, a room with an invitation and shoes laid out. If you are getting ready at a hotel, tell us the room and the time you need the morning to finish, so the photographs and film can start before the day gets busy.

Summer light, rain and confetti

Yorkshire weather changes quickly, and a plan that works in drizzle takes the pressure off. Ask your venue where confetti is allowed, where guests can shelter and which indoor space you would use for portraits. Yukki and Leslie’s clear umbrellas are a good example of a plan that kept a wet day lighthearted.

Before you enquire: note your date, the ceremony venue and where you will get ready, even if that is a family home. If you are still choosing between a city hotel and a country barn, tell us your shortlist and we can talk through how each tends to work for photographs and film.

One photo and video duo for a wedding that spans city and countryside

Cam and Beth, the Bright Sight photo and video duo

Hiring photography and film from one team means one conversation about your timetable instead of two. Cam and Beth have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together since 2016, so on the day they already know who takes the ceremony from the aisle and who watches the reactions. If your wedding moves from a hotel ceremony to a garden or a barn, nobody has to stop and repeat a moment for a second camera.

Our combined photo and video team package has a £120 deposit and a £300 saving compared with booking photography and videography separately. We are based near Cardiff, with travel across England and Wales included in our standard full-day packages. For multiple locations or custom timings, tell us your plans so we can confirm the arrangements with you.

A Leeds wedding videographer for the parts you want to hear again

A photograph holds the look on someone’s face. A film keeps the sound around it: a voice catching on a vow, the pause before a speech and the room joining in when the dancing starts. We film so the highlight follows your day in order, rather than reading as a montage of scenery.

Our full-day video packages include a 7 to 10 minute highlight and a 40+ minute documentary film, including the complete ceremony and speeches. Everything is recorded twice as it happens and backed up again that night. Watch Analise and Mcauly’s highlight from Woodlands Hotel in Gildersome and Yukki and Leslie’s highlight from Carlton Towers near Goole below.

Your Leeds wedding photography and film questions

Do you photograph and film weddings in Leeds and around Yorkshire?

Yes. Cam and Beth cover Leeds, Wetherby, Harrogate, Bradford, Skipton and the wider Yorkshire countryside with documentary wedding photography and film. We are based near Cardiff, with travel across England and Wales included in standard full-day packages. Send your date and venue to check availability.

Which real weddings can we see in this guide?

Sally and Lewis at The Mansion in Roundhay Park and Analise and Mcauly at Woodlands Hotel in Gildersome are both Leeds weddings. Brittany and Callum at Wood Hall near Wetherby, Amber and Will at The Tithe Barn in Bolton Abbey and Yukki and Leslie at Carlton Towers near Goole are wider Yorkshire weddings, each labelled with its real place. Two highlight films are included, from Woodlands Hotel and from Carlton Towers.

Do we need to pose for a long time?

No. We usually take a relaxed 15 to 20 minute portrait walk near your celebration, with gentle guidance when it helps. Most of the day is captured as it unfolds so you can enjoy your guests.

Our guests are travelling in by train. How should we plan the day?

Tell us where the station, the hotels and the venue are, and how long guests will need between them. If your ceremony and reception are in the same building, as in a hotel or park house, the day can run smoothly with a gap for portraits. If you choose a Dales or country house venue, add a margin for the journey and share the timetable early so the photographs and film are not rushed.

Can you work in a city hotel, a park house and a country barn?

Often, yes, subject to the locations and agreed coverage. The weddings in this guide include a park house in Roundhay, a hotel in Gildersome, a hilltop country house near Wetherby, a barn at Bolton Abbey and an exclusive use country house near Goole. Send your preparation, ceremony and reception addresses so we can check travel and plan the morning.

How much does a Leeds wedding photographer and videographer cost?

Our standard full-day packages start at £1,999 for photography, £1,999 for videography and £3,699 for photography and videography together. Travel across England and Wales is included, so a venue in Leeds or out in the Dales is priced the same way as a wedding near Cardiff. Longer packages add more coverage and extras, and the package pages show the current inclusions.

Can we book photography and videography together?

Yes. Our photo and video team package brings Cam and Beth together with one shared timetable, a £120 deposit and a £300 saving compared with booking separately. Full-day video packages include a 7 to 10 minute highlight and a 40+ minute documentary film. See the package pages for current coverage and prices.
