In short: Bright Sight is Cam and Beth, a photo and video duo based near Cardiff. We photograph and film weddings in Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch and along the Dorset coast. This guide shows a manor near Christchurch, a garden venue in Poole and a New Forest church wedding in Hampshire, each labelled with its real county. Standard full-day packages start at £1,999 for photography, £1,999 for videography or £3,699 for both, with travel included and a £120 deposit to secure your date.

Bournemouth wedding photography and videography, with time for your people

A Bournemouth wedding might happen in a walled garden in Poole, a manor just inland near Christchurch or a church at the edge of the New Forest. The setting gives the day its shape, but the photographs should remember more than the place: the friend who makes you laugh before the ceremony, the faces as you walk in and the hugs that last a little longer afterwards.

Cam and Beth work as a photo and video duo from Cardiff, quietly in the background of your day. Whether the morning starts with sea air in Poole or a drive inland to Christchurch, the aim is the same: keep you with your guests, step in only when a little direction helps, and let the photographs and the film grow from what actually happens.

This is a town-level companion to our Dorset wedding guide, focused on Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch. It uses the same two Dorset weddings, Faye and Sam at Parley Manor and Erica and Pete at The Italian Villa, and adds Chloe and Matt at Beaulieu Abbey as a labelled comparison in Hampshire. We would rather show you a few real weddings honestly than pad the page with places we have not photographed.

01 / Parley, near Christchurch, Dorset / Faye & Sam

Parley Manor: brick gateways, golden hour and a marquee party

Faye and Sam’s July wedding at Parley Manor sits just inland from the Bournemouth coast, on the Dorset side of the boundary with Hampshire. An early Georgian manor with gardens around it, it gives you a calm, green setting within reach of the town. Their photographs follow the day from an outdoor ceremony aisle with white chairs to a brick moon gate at golden hour, a quiet moment among the greenery and, later, friends filling the dance floor in the marquee.

If you are choosing between a seafront hotel and a garden venue, a manor like this keeps the day in one place. Ask which spaces are part of your booking, where guests can gather between the ceremony and the meal, and what the weather plan is for a marquee evening. We keep portraits close to the celebration, using the gateway and garden paths rather than long trips away from your guests.

02 / Compton Acres, Poole, Dorset / Erica & Pete

The Italian Villa: terraces, fountains and a garden made for wandering

Erica and Pete’s June wedding at The Italian Villa moves through the whole garden. They exchange rings on the villa steps, wander hand in hand beside the lily pond, kiss on a wooden bridge and find a quieter portrait by the water. The reception room waits inside for dinner. The setting does a lot of the work, and the photographs follow the day instead of interrupting it.

The Italian Villa is at Compton Acres in Poole, on the Dorset side of the harbour, so it suits couples who want gardens close to the town. Ask how your ceremony, drinks and meal connect, which paths guests will use and where you would shelter if the weather turns. A short walk through the terraces and ponds usually gives plenty of variety without long gaps away from your guests.

03 / Beaulieu, New Forest, Hampshire / Chloe & Matt

Beaulieu Abbey: a church ceremony in the New Forest

Chloe and Matt’s August wedding is a surrounding-area story, and Beaulieu Abbey is in the New Forest in Hampshire, not Dorset. It is included for couples whose search around Bournemouth reaches east into the forest. Chloe walks arm in arm towards the church with her bridesmaids behind her, and their highlight film follows below.

A church wedding has its own rhythm: arriving with family, seeing familiar faces and coming out together afterwards. We follow those moments without asking you to repeat them. Check the current ceremony and reception arrangements with the church and venue, and allow time for the journey if your guests are staying on the Bournemouth coast.

Planning photography and film around your Bournemouth wedding

Coastal weather and sea air

The coast can feel calm inland and breezy by the water, so plan for wind with flowers, veils and ceremony chairs. Ask your venue where guests can shelter between the ceremony and drinks, and choose an indoor space you genuinely like. A plan that works in drizzle takes the pressure off a day that may well turn out sunny.

Busy summer roads and where guests stay

Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch are popular holiday areas, so summer weekends can mean slower roads and fuller car parks. Share every address and your ceremony time before fixing the timetable, and allow extra minutes between getting ready, the ceremony and any move to a reception. If guests are travelling in, look at accommodation close to the venue before you commit.

Choose the kind of setting that fits your day

The venues in this guide show three different ideas. Parley Manor is a manor with gardens and a marquee, a good fit if you want everything in one place. The Italian Villa at Compton Acres is a garden of terraces, ponds and fountains where the setting adds variety to every portrait. Beaulieu Abbey is a church wedding in the New Forest, a reminder that a ceremony and reception can sit in quite different surroundings.

At your viewing, ask where family photographs could happen, which room you would use if it rains and how far guests walk between the ceremony and drinks. On a coastal summer weekend, two or three spots a short walk from your drinks reception usually give better portraits than a long tour of the grounds, and they keep you from missing your own party.

Before you enquire: note your date, your ceremony venue and where you will get ready, even if that is a hotel on the seafront. If you are still choosing between a manor, a garden or a church, tell us the shortlist and we can talk through how each one tends to work for photographs and film.

One photo and video duo, one shared rhythm

Cam and Beth, the Bright Sight photo and video duo

Hiring photography and film from one team means one conversation about your timetable instead of two. Cam and Beth have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together since 2016, so on the day they already know who takes the ceremony from the aisle and who watches the reactions, and you are not asked to stop and repeat anything for a second camera.

In a terraced garden like Compton Acres, a manor with a marquee or a church near the New Forest, that understanding decides where each of us stands before the vows begin. The stills and the film are graded to feel alike, so a favourite photograph and its matching moment in the film look like the same afternoon.

Our combined photo and video team package has a £120 deposit and a £300 saving compared with booking photography and videography separately. We are based near Cardiff, with travel across England and Wales included in our standard full-day packages. For multiple locations or custom timings, tell us your plans so we can confirm the arrangements with you.

A Bournemouth wedding videographer for the parts you want to hear again

A photograph holds the look on someone's face. A film keeps the sound around it: a voice catching on a vow, the pause before a best man's punchline, confetti landing on a villa step. At a Bournemouth wedding with a long summer day and plenty of movement between spaces, we film so the highlight follows your day in order, rather than reading as a montage of scenery.

Our full-day video packages include a 7 to 10 minute highlight and a 40+ minute documentary film, including the complete ceremony and speeches. Everything is recorded twice as it happens and backed up again that night. Watch Erica and Pete’s highlight from The Italian Villa in Poole and Chloe and Matt’s highlight from Beaulieu Abbey in the New Forest below.

Your Bournemouth wedding photography and film questions

Do you photograph and film weddings in Bournemouth and Poole?

Yes. Cam and Beth cover Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and the surrounding Dorset coast and countryside with documentary wedding photography and film. We are based near Cardiff, with travel across England and Wales included in standard full-day packages. Send your date and venue to check availability.

Which real weddings can we see in this guide?

Faye and Sam at Parley Manor near Christchurch, and Erica and Pete at The Italian Villa in Poole, are both in Dorset. Chloe and Matt at Beaulieu Abbey is a surrounding-area wedding in the New Forest, Hampshire, and is labelled that way. We also show highlight films from The Italian Villa and Beaulieu Abbey.

Do we need to pose for a long time?

No. We usually take a relaxed 15 to 20 minute portrait walk near your celebration, with gentle guidance when it helps. Most of the day is captured as it unfolds so you can enjoy your guests.

What should we plan for at a coastal wedding near Bournemouth?

Sea air can bring wind, so choose a plan for hair, flowers and ceremony chairs that copes with a breeze. Summer weekends can also mean busy roads around the coast, so allow extra time for guests and for any journey between preparation and ceremony. Pick an indoor space you like in case the weather changes.

Can you cover preparation and ceremony in different places?

Often, yes, subject to the locations and agreed coverage. Send the addresses and ceremony time so we can review travel and decide how the morning will work. Allow room for getting dressed, transport and arrival.

How much does a Bournemouth wedding photographer and videographer cost?

Our standard full-day packages start at £1,999 for photography, £1,999 for videography and £3,699 for photography and videography together. Travel across England and Wales is included, so a garden venue in Poole or a manor near Christchurch is priced the same way as a wedding closer to Cardiff. Longer packages add more coverage and extras, and the package pages show the current inclusions.

Can we book photography and videography together?

Yes. Our photo and video team package brings Cam and Beth together with one shared timetable, a £120 deposit and a £300 saving compared with separate bookings. Full-day video packages include a 7 to 10 minute highlight and a 40+ minute documentary film. See the package pages for current prices and inclusions.
