Timeless Romance Among the Hills and Honey Stone
There is an undeniable allure to getting married in and around Bath. From the warm glow of Georgian Bath stone to the rolling green ridges of the Mendip Hills and the secluded valleys of North East Somerset, the landscape provides an effortless canvas for a wedding celebration that feels both elevated and deeply grounded.
Couples who choose Bath and its surrounding countryside value an unhurried, authentic experience. They want an atmosphere where their guests can relax with glasses of champagne in walled gardens, take in breathtaking valley vistas, and dance with abandon late into the night.
As a dedicated wedding photo & video duo with more than 400 weddings behind our cameras, our passion is documenting your day as it naturally unfolds: unscripted, warm, and true to who you are. We do not manufacture fake poses or turn your wedding into an endless staged photoshoot. Instead, we let you immerse yourself in the celebration while we capture the quiet glances, burst of laughter, and spontaneous moments that tell your real story.
Standout Wedding Venues Near Bath & North East Somerset
Whether you envision an exclusive country manor house, an intimate valley barn, a tranquil courtyard sanctuary, or a light-flooded orangery, the region surrounding Bath boasts some of the country's most remarkable settings:
Coombe Lodge, Blagdon
Set against the foot of the Mendip Hills overlooking the peaceful waters of Blagdon Lake, Coombe Lodge is one of the most romantic exclusive-use country house venues near Bath. Built in the stately neo-Jacobean style, the house is surrounded by pristine landscaped gardens, tree-lined avenues, and stone archways that create an inspiring backdrop in every season.
Bethany and Sean celebrated their wedding on a radiant summer day, making full use of the manicured lawn for an outdoor ceremony overlooking the valley. The open layout of the grounds allows guests to wander freely from the stone terrace to the rose gardens without ever feeling disconnected from the celebration. We have also had the joy of filming Becky and Kieran's celebration here, whose highlight film is featured below in our videography section.

For couple portraits, we simply set off for a calm 15-minute stroll through the grounds. With the Mendip ridge rising in the distance, Bethany and Sean were able to take a breath together as newlyweds while we documented genuine, candid moments without any stiff direction.
The Kingscote Barn, Tetbury
Tucked into a tranquil Cotswold valley just north of Bath, The Kingscote Barn is a lovingly restored 17th-century stone barn offering absolute seclusion and rustic elegance. With its vaulted oak-beamed ceilings, warm honey-coloured stone walls, and expansive glass doors opening onto rolling fields, it provides a warm and welcoming space for gatherings of all sizes.
We have had the privilege of documenting multiple wonderful celebrations at Kingscote Barn, including Zoe & Jack, Louise & Ryan, and Graeme & Coz. For Zoe and Jack, the soft ambient lighting and natural warmth of the stone created an intimate, emotional setting as they exchanged their vows before stepping out into the sheltered courtyard for confetti and lawn games.

Following their ceremony, Zoe and Jack joined us for a brief walk along the valley paths, enjoying wide-open views while we captured spontaneous laughter and relaxed connection as the afternoon sun warmed the pale limestone hills.
The Matara Centre, Kingscote
Located in Kingscote just down the country lane from Kingscote Barn, The Matara Centre is one of the most distinctive and tranquil wedding destinations near Bath. Set within 28 acres of Grade II listed parkland, it pairs an Asian-inspired Zen cloistered courtyard, a domed Hilarium ceremony hall, and tranquil water gardens with ancient English woodlands.
Zoe and Jamie celebrated their wedding at Matara with a deeply personal gathering that embraced the serene energy of the sanctuary. From calm morning preparations surrounded by botanical elegance to candlelit moments beneath the glass dome, the estate offered peaceful spaces that allowed their celebration to unfold entirely at its own rhythm.

With its secluded labyrinth paths and reflective ponds, couple portraits at Matara feel like a peaceful meditation rather than a photo session. We simply followed Zoe and Jamie as they explored the leafy cloisters, capturing tender, unposed moments that preserved the authentic calm of their day.
Elmhay Park & Orchardleigh Estate, Frome
Located south of Bath near Frome, Elmhay Park is set within the sprawling 500-acre grounds of the historic Orchardleigh Estate. Centred around a magnificent Italianate garden orangery, it features a glasshouse ceremony space bathed in natural light, a private Victorian walled garden, and luxury on-site accommodation for family and guests.
Rachel and Jarrad crafted a celebration that blended classic elegance with botanical garden romance. From morning preparations filled with laughter to vows exchanged beneath the glass canopy, the venue offered a continuous stream of stunning natural light.

During the golden hour transition, we took Rachel and Jarrad for a relaxed 15-minute walk around the walled perimeter and estate grounds. The gentle evening light reflected softly off the orangery glass, yielding warm, timeless portraits that felt completely effortless.
Pennard House, Shepton Mallet
Situated in the rolling Somerset countryside within easy reach of Bath, Pennard House is a family-owned Georgian country estate that feels like a private home away from home. Featuring a freshwater swimming lake, landscaped rose gardens, apple orchards, and an 18th-century converted Coach House, it is designed for memorable country celebrations.
Charlotte and Matt embraced the relaxed rhythm of the estate, hosting their drinks reception on the south lawn under blue skies. Guests enjoyed garden games and drinks on the grass, surrounded by blooming borders and pastoral views.

As the sun dipped lower, Charlotte and Matt took a gentle wander past the lake and through the orchard. With our duo coordinating silently, we captured both intimate photographs and sweeping cinematic video footage without ever rushing the couple or pulling them away from their loved ones.

Communication Without Words: Why Couples Book Us Together
When independent photographers and videographers who have never met turn up at your wedding, they are often navigating each other for the very first time. They may inadvertently compete for the best angles during your vows, cross into each other’s camera frames during speeches, or accidentally double your couple portrait time by pulling you in opposite directions.
Because we have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together side by side, our choreography is completely instinctive. We know exactly where the other is standing at any given second. One subtle nod during the ceremony is all it takes to communicate a shift in angle. We never crowd you, we never obstruct your guests, and your portrait stroll is a single, relaxed walk that covers both your photographs and your cinematic film at the same time.
Best of all, your finished wedding photographs and your cinematic highlight film are edited with the exact same warm, natural colour palette so that your entire visual memory feels like one cohesive heirloom. Booking both services through our combined team package also saves £300 compared to booking photo and video separately, with one booking agreement and a single £120 deposit to secure your date.
Wedding Videography in Bath: Sound, Motion, and Real Feeling
Photographs preserve frozen glimpses of time, but film brings the voices, laughter, and movement right back to life. In ten, twenty, or fifty years, you will want to hear the crack in your partner’s voice as they read their vows, the raucous laughter rippling across the dining room during speeches, and the song that brought everyone flooding onto the dancefloor.
Video is never an afterthought or a rushed add-on in our packages. We record professional multi-channel audio using tiny, discreet lapel microphones that clip neatly out of view. In addition to your 7 to 10 minute cinematic highlight film, every package includes complete, full-length documentary cuts of your entire wedding ceremony and all speeches. Every single file is recorded simultaneously to dual memory card slots in each camera and backed up twice over immediately upon returning home.

Have Questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
We feel very camera shy: how do you keep couple portraits relaxed?
Almost every couple we photograph tells us they feel nervous in front of the lens (and honestly, so would we!). Our entire philosophy is designed to eliminate that pressure. We never ask you to hold stiff, theatrical poses or give forced smiles. Instead, we take you for a calm 15 to 20 minute walk through the gardens or courtyard during your drinks reception with a drink in hand, letting genuine laughter and connection happen completely naturally.
Do you cover weddings across the whole of Bath and North East Somerset?
Yes! We regularly photograph and film weddings throughout the city of Bath, North East Somerset, the Mendip Hills, the Chew Valley, and the rolling Cotswold borders. Travel throughout England and Wales is included within our clear, upfront package pricing with no additional travel surcharges.
Why is booking a combined photo and video duo better than two separate suppliers?
Having filmed and photographed more than 400 weddings together, we operate in complete harmony without needing to speak. There is never any supplier rivalry, no clashing tripods, and zero doubling up on your portrait time. Your photos and film share the identical warm, natural colour tones, and you benefit from one straightforward contract, a single £120 deposit, and an automatic £300 package saving.
How much time will couple portraits take on our wedding day?
We believe your wedding day is a celebration with your family and friends, not an all-day photoshoot. We keep our main couple portrait stroll to just 15 to 20 minutes during the afternoon reception, followed by an optional 10-minute golden hour walk before your evening party starts. For the remaining 95% of your celebration, you are completely free to enjoy your guests.
What is included in the combined Photo & Video Team package?
Our combined team package provides full-day coverage from morning prep through to the first dance and lively party floor, 600+ high-resolution edited photos delivered in a private downloadable gallery with full personal print permissions, a 7 to 10 minute cinematic highlight film, full documentary feature films of your entire ceremony and all speeches with crisp multi-mic audio, drone aerial cinematography (weather and airspace permitting), and sneak peek photos delivered shortly after your wedding day.
