In short: Bright Sight is Cam and Beth, a photo and video duo based near Cardiff. This guide follows seven real weddings in and around Lancashire: West Tower near Ormskirk, The River Barn at Poulton-le-Fylde and Beeston Manor near Preston, with labelled neighbours at Southport in Merseyside, Colshaw Hall and Inglewood Manor in Cheshire and The Tithe Barn at Bolton Abbey in North Yorkshire. Standard full-day packages start at £2,099 for photography, £2,099 for videography or £3,799 for both, with travel included and a £120 deposit to secure your date.

Weddings across Lancashire

Lancashire runs from the Fylde coast through the farmland around Ormskirk and Preston to the hills of the Forest of Bowland, and the venues here are a mix of barns, manors and country houses with open fields on their doorstep. A wedding here often means guests from Manchester, Liverpool and the north-west, and a good deal of the portrait time happens outdoors.

Cam and Beth work as a photo and video duo, quietly in the background of your day. We want the confetti by the gazebo, the cake under the fairy lights and the minutes between formal photographs to be in your gallery as much as the portraits are. We keep you with your guests, step in only when a little direction helps and let the photographs and film grow from what actually happens.

A word on the map. West Tower, The River Barn and Beeston Manor are in Lancashire. Southport is in Merseyside, Colshaw Hall and Inglewood Manor are in Cheshire and The Tithe Barn is at Bolton Abbey in North Yorkshire, so they are labelled as neighbours. Our Liverpool guide and Manchester guide show more weddings on each side, our Cheshire guide covers the south and our Lake District guide covers the north.

01 / Aughton, near Ormskirk, Lancashire / Natalie & Damian

West Tower: a staircase, a gazebo and golden light beside the wheat fields

Natalie and Damian married at West Tower at Aughton, near Ormskirk, on 18 July 2022, and the photograph at the top of this guide is Damian lifting Natalie in golden light beside a field of ripe grain. The morning begins with Natalie in her ballgown beside a tall window with gold curtains and a chandelier, a guest making the finishing touches, and then she comes down a wooden staircase with her bridesmaids behind her. In the evening the two kiss beside a field of wheat and touch foreheads on stone steps with a line of trees behind them.

After the ceremony Damian and Natalie laugh as confetti falls in front of a gazebo and their groomsmen. A venue surrounded by fields gives you open skies and long evening light, so ask when the sun sets on your date and how late guests can stay outside.

02 / Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire / Hannah & Tom

The River Barn: pale timber beams, a pampas backdrop and arms in the air

Hannah and Tom married at The River Barn in Poulton-le-Fylde, on the Fylde coast, on 24 August 2023. Their ceremony takes place beneath pale timber beams with guests seated either side, and the two hold hands in front of a backdrop of pampas grass and dried flowers.

After the ceremony the two raise their arms and walk away along a tree-lined path. If you are choosing a barn, ask how the room changes between ceremony and meal and where guests can wait in good weather.

03 / Hoghton, near Preston, Lancashire / Emma & Sean

Beeston Manor: white drapes, a veil in the breeze and a golden-hour embrace

Emma and Sean married at Beeston Manor at Hoghton, near Preston, on 8 May 2022. A ceremony room hung with white drapes and lined with chairs sets the scene, and outside Emma's veil catches the breeze in front of a weathered timber wall.

The two cut their cake under fairy lights, and in the evening Emma laughs in an embrace with Sean in warm light. A manor with indoor and outdoor spaces gives you several backdrops without leaving the grounds, so ask which of them are included for your numbers.

04 / Southport, Merseyside / Anthony & Jasmine

Southport: confetti, a vintage car and the seafront promenade

Southport is on the Merseyside coast, just south of Lancashire, so it is a labelled neighbour to this guide. Anthony in a checked suit and Jasmine in a long veil walk through confetti thrown by their guests in front of a red-brick building with white bay windows, and the two kiss in the back seat of a cream vintage car. Out on the seafront they stand small beside black railings on a long promenade, hold each other beside the water with a balustraded bridge behind them and walk towards the camera with Jasmine lifting her skirt.

Indoors the speeches are in black and white, with Jasmine wiping a tear, and a wide room with garlands of greenery hangs above guests at round tables. The day ends with an embrace in black and white in front of white drapes. A seaside wedding gives you wide skies and long promenades, so ask about the wind and about where guests can shelter.

05 / Over Peover, near Knutsford, Cheshire / Hannah & Rob

Colshaw Hall: glasses raised, a window portrait and confetti

Colshaw Hall is at Over Peover, near Knutsford in Cheshire, to the south of Lancashire, so it is a labelled neighbour to this guide. Hannah and Rob's photographs begin with Hannah and her bridesmaids raising their glasses during preparations, then a quiet portrait of Hannah beside a tall window in her wedding dress.

The two walk through confetti with their guests and kiss beside a window. If you are comparing Cheshire halls with Lancashire barns, ask each venue how the indoor spaces connect with the grounds.

06 / Bolton Abbey, near Skipton, North Yorkshire / Amber & Will

The Tithe Barn at Bolton Abbey: a timbered barn and a sunny path

The Tithe Barn is on the Bolton Abbey estate near Skipton, in the Wharfe valley across the Pennines from Lancashire, so it is a labelled neighbour to this guide. Amber and Will married here in July 2025. The morning starts with Will and his groomsmen raising glasses in a sunny room and Amber at a window in black and white while a woman straightens her veil. In the timbered barn the two kiss over a table of white flowers as guests cheer.

07 / Ledsham, South Wirral, Cheshire / Gabi & Mikey

Inglewood Manor: a glass-panelled doorway and brick columns

Inglewood Manor is at Ledsham on the South Wirral, south of Liverpool, so it is a labelled neighbour to this guide. Gabi and Mikey's photographs begin in an arched doorway where one man pins a buttonhole on another, then the two walk beneath the brick columns and pergola and dance together inside a white room seen through an arched doorway.

Planning a wedding in Lancashire

Barns, manors and country houses

The venues here are a timber barn, a manor with a ceremony room and a country house with a gazebo and stone steps. Ask each venue which spaces your booking includes, how the ceremony and reception connect and where guests can shelter. A gazebo, a staircase and a pampas backdrop each make a good backdrop, but they ask for a plan for the order of the day.

Evening light in open country

Several of the portraits in this guide were taken in the evening beside fields: a lift beside a field of wheat at West Tower and a golden-hour embrace at Beeston Manor. Ask when the sun sets on your date, keep a few minutes after the meal for portraits and agree where guests can wait indoors.

Getting guests there

Lancashire is well placed for guests travelling from Manchester, Liverpool and the north-west. Share a short transport note and accommodation suggestions early, and ask whether your venue has rooms on site.

Weather by the sea

A seaside wedding like Anthony and Jasmine’s in Southport gives you wide skies and long promenades, but wind and weather change the plan. Agree a wet-weather option, bring a wrap and keep portraits close to the venue when the light is changing.

How we travel to you

We are based near Cardiff and travel across England and Wales is included in standard full-day packages. Lancashire is a long drive from home, so we stay in a hotel the night before so that traffic on the morning cannot affect your day.

Before you enquire: write down every address your day will use: where you get ready, the ceremony, the meal and where people sleep. Send the list with your date and venue and we can talk through the order of the day.

Beyond Lancashire, the Liverpool guide and Manchester guide show more weddings on each side, the Cheshire guide covers the south and the Lake District guide covers the north.

Hearing the day again: wedding films in Lancashire

A photograph keeps a face. A film keeps the voice that went with it: a vow, the pause before a speech lands, the sound of a barn full of people when the dancing starts. A highlight follows your day in the order it happened, so watching it feels like the day again, not a trailer for it.

Our full-day video packages include a 7 to 10 minute highlight and a 40+ minute documentary film. Watch Sam and Beth’s highlight from Colshaw Hall and Natalie and Damian’s highlight from West Tower below. Explore the wedding videography package for current inclusions, or browse our wedding films for more celebrations.

One team for the photographs and the film

Cam and Beth, the Bright Sight photo and video duo

Booking photography and film with the same team means one conversation about the timetable, one set of questions for your venue and one plan for the portrait walk. Cam and Beth have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together since 2016, so a barn that turns from ceremony to dinner, a manor in May or a late change to the order of the day is familiar territory.

The photo and video team package carries a £120 deposit and a £400 saving over booking photography and videography separately. If your day uses more than one location or has unusual timings, tell us the plan and we will confirm how it fits.

Questions about photography and film in Lancashire

Do you photograph and film weddings in Lancashire?

Yes. Cam and Beth are based near Cardiff and travel across England and Wales is included in standard full-day packages. We have photographed and filmed weddings at West Tower near Ormskirk, The River Barn at Poulton-le-Fylde and Beeston Manor near Preston. Send your date and venue and we will tell you whether we are free.

Which real weddings can we see in this guide?

Natalie and Damian at West Tower, Hannah and Tom at The River Barn and Emma and Sean at Beeston Manor are in Lancashire. Anthony and Jasmine married in Southport in Merseyside, Hannah and Rob at Colshaw Hall and Gabi and Mikey at Inglewood Manor are in Cheshire, and Amber and Will at The Tithe Barn are at Bolton Abbey in North Yorkshire, all labelled as neighbours. Each story says where the venue is.

Why are Merseyside, Cheshire and Yorkshire venues in a Lancashire guide?

Couples searching in Lancashire often look at Southport, the Cheshire halls to the south and the Dales to the east, and the best venue is sometimes a drive away. Each of these venues is labelled with its real place, so you can judge the distance from your own venue.

Can you photograph a wedding on the coast or in open farmland?

Yes. Open skies and fields give you wide light, and a promenade or a field of wheat gives you plenty of room for portraits. They also bring wind and weather, so we agree a wet-weather plan with you before the day and keep portraits close to the venue when the light is changing.

Do you travel to Lancashire for weddings?

Yes. Travel across England and Wales is included in our standard full-day packages. Lancashire is a long drive from our base near Cardiff, so we stay in a hotel the night before and the journey cannot affect your day.

How much does a Lancashire wedding photographer and videographer cost?

Our standard full-day packages start at £2,099 for photography, £2,099 for videography and £3,799 for photography and videography together. Longer packages add more coverage and extras, and the package pages show the current inclusions.

Can we book photography and videography together?

Yes. Our photo and video team package puts both under one booking with a £120 deposit, and it carries a £400 saving compared with booking them separately. Full-day video packages include a 7 to 10 minute highlight and a 40+ minute documentary film. See the package pages for current coverage and prices.
