A community farm with its own wedding barn
Greenmeadow Community Farm is at Cwmbran in Torfaen (NP44 5AJ). The farm is run by Torfaen County Borough Council, and its own site describes a wooden-beamed barn, the Haybarn, that suits a small, rustic wedding in the heart of Cwmbran, with catering and drinks from The Farmer's Table. The council says the farm reopened on 13 September 2025 after a multi-million-pound transformation that also gave it a restaurant and café, an animal barn and a play barn.
We photographed Sarah and Scott's wedding here on 5 September 2026, and their day is the one in this guide: a ceremony inside the stone-walled barn, confetti at its doors and golden-hour portraits on the farm tracks with the goats. Our Monmouthshire guide shows more weddings nearby, and here we stay with the farm. What we say about the buildings comes from the venue's own website and the council, and what we say about the photographs comes from looking at them.
For current venue details, explore Greenmeadow Community Farm. The farm is a public attraction, so ask the venue whether it is closed to visitors during your wedding and which animal areas you can use for photographs.

The Haybarn, the restaurant and the farm
The farm's wedding page describes the Haybarn as a wooden-beamed barn in the heart of Cwmbran, and offers it for a small but perfectly formed wedding, with fantastic catering and drinks from The Farmer's Table restaurant. The page does not give a guest capacity, a ceremony licence or a price, so ask the venue for all three in writing.
Torfaen County Borough Council says the farmhouse dates from 1752 and that the refurbishment added an oak-framed restaurant and café, an indoor play barn, an adventure playground and an animal barn. It also says BaxterStorey will manage event catering across the refurbished site, including the Haybarn, so ask the venue who your caterer will be.
02 / September 2026 / Sarah and Scott
Sarah and Scott: a stone barn, confetti at the doors and portraits among the goats
Sarah and Scott married on 5 September 2026. The photograph at the top of this page shows them walking out of the dark double doors of the stone barn through confetti, Sarah raising her arm with a bouquet of sunflowers and pink roses and Scott in a green three-piece suit, a guest on either side.
Inside, the barn has stone walls, timber roof trusses and iron chandeliers. Sarah and Scott stand facing each other, both smiling, with their guests seated behind them. Then Scott kisses Sarah beside a stone wall and a wooden arbour dressed with flowers, a chandelier above them.

Their portraits were taken around the farm in low evening sun. In the first, the two of them crouch in a grassy field beside a fence to meet a herd of small goats.

On the gravel farm track beside a wire fence, Sarah looks back over her shoulder in a jacket lettered 'Just Married' as Scott puts an arm around her, hills beyond. In the next they hold hands and smile at each other, Scott in a green waistcoat, lilac shirt and floral tie.

Planning your photographs at Greenmeadow Community Farm
A few things worth asking the venue, and how we would plan around the answers:
- Ceremony: Sarah and Scott were married inside the stone-walled barn. Ask the venue how many guests the Haybarn seats for a ceremony and whether it holds a licence for your date.
- Confetti: Confetti at the barn doors made one of the day's best photographs. Ask the venue what it allows, so you know which kind to buy.
- The animals: The goats gave this couple a very different portrait, but the farm is a working attraction. Ask which animal areas you can use, whether any are closed to the public during your wedding and who can supervise, and let us know so we can plan the portrait walk.
- Evening light: The tracks and fields caught low sun beautifully in September. We check sunset times for your date in advance and agree the portrait plan with you before the day.
- Group photographs: We do as many as you like and typically recommend around 15, which usually take about 20 minutes. Choose somewhere with room and a sheltered backup, and ask a groomsman or bridesmaid who knows everyone to round people up.
- Portraits: We usually take a portrait walk of about 15 minutes, with photo and video together. The barn yard, the fields and the gravel track give you very different backdrops.
One team for the photographs and the film

Cam and Beth have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together, so a converted barn, a farm track and a field of goats are familiar territory. You get one conversation about the timetable, one set of questions for the venue and one plan for the portrait walk.
The photo and video team package carries a £120 deposit and a £400 saving over booking photography and videography separately. We are based near Cardiff, and travel across England and Wales is included in standard full-day packages. When the drive is over two hours we always stay in a hotel the night before and cover it.
