An exclusive-use country house in nine acres of gardens
Moxhull Hall is on Holly Lane at Wishaw, near Sutton Coldfield in North Warwickshire (B76 9PD). The venue describes itself as a chic country house set in nine acres of landscaped gardens, and its wedding page says the Hall is exclusively yours for the day. The photographs show ivy-covered brick, white garden arches and long paths between clipped planting.
We photographed and filmed Emily and James's wedding here on 23 August 2024. Their day is the one in this guide, from the dress under a garden arch to a first dance beneath fairy lights.

01 / August 2024 / Emily and James
Emily and James: a garden arch, a lift on the path and a first dance
Emily and James married on 23 August 2024. The photograph at the top of this page is James lifting Emily off the ground on a garden path, her head resting against his. The morning starts in the gardens: Emily's dress hangs from the top of a white wrought-iron arch with greenery growing over it, and beneath the same arch four women in pale robes and slippers laugh together.

Indoors, James stands beside a tall leaded window and adjusts his bow tie, in black and white.

Later the two of them stop on a garden path and kiss, the ivy-covered brick of the house rising behind them, Emily's veil and train spread behind her.

In the evening Emily and James cut a tall white cake together, both laughing, and have their first dance on a chequered floor under a canopy of fairy lights while their guests watch.

02 / The spaces / From the venue's own pages
The Oak Hall, the Secret Garden, the Orangery and the Starlit Pavilion
The venue's spaces page describes the Oak Hall, a room with restored period features, chandeliers and high ceilings, holding ceremonies for up to 120 guests and dining for up to 100. The Secret Garden, an outdoor space framed by palms and ferns, seats ceremonies of up to 120. The Orangery is a bright room with views of the botanical gardens and seats up to 50 for dining.
The Starlit Pavilion is the evening space, with a canopy of twinkling lights and a built-in dance floor. The page says it seats up to 160 for dining and holds up to 200 for dancing. The Studio and the Den are the getting-ready rooms, the Den with a pool table. The page says civil ceremonies can take place in either of the venue's licensed spaces and are arranged with the Superintendent Registrar for North Warwickshire, so confirm the details with the venue.
03 / Staying at Moxhull Hall / From the venue's own pages

A real wedding on film
A second film to judge by
Emily and James’s Moxhull Hall highlight gives you another film to watch the way you would watch any supplier’s work: with the sound on, looking at how the people, the setting and the voices come together rather than at single moments.

A few things worth asking the venue, and how we would plan around the answers:
- Where the ceremony is: the Oak Hall or the Secret Garden. Tell us your plan and the timings so we can arrange the morning around them.
- Getting ready: ask when the Studio, the Den and the Honeymoon Suite are yours on the morning, since the first photographs happen there. The garden arch is a lovely spot for the dress.
- Rain: agree an indoor option with the venue when you confirm the order of the day. The Oak Hall and the Orangery are the indoor spaces the venue names.
- Group photographs: we do as many as you like and typically recommend around 15, which usually take about 20 minutes. Choose somewhere with room, and ask someone who knows everyone to round people up.
- Portraits: we usually take a portrait walk of about 15 minutes, with photo and video together. The garden paths, the arches and the ivy-covered house give you several backdrops. In August, we check sunset and light times for your date in advance and agree the plan with you.
One team for the photographs and the film

Cam and Beth have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together, so a country house with garden arches, ivy-covered brick and an evening pavilion is familiar territory. You get one conversation about the timetable, one set of questions for the venue and one plan for the portrait walk.
The photo and video team package carries a £120 deposit and a £400 saving over booking photography and videography separately. We are based near Cardiff, and travel across England and Wales is included in standard full-day packages. When the drive is over two hours we always stay in a hotel the night before and cover it.
