01 / December 2025 / Lauren and Henry
Lauren and Henry: hanging greenery, long tables and a country lane at dusk
Lauren and Henry married on 14 December 2025. The photograph at the top of this page is the two of them on a country lane beneath a pale evening sky, Henry holding Lauren's face as she looks up at him. Before the ceremony Lauren stands in a long veil with her bouquet beside a window, an older woman in a dark dress next to her, and in a kitchen one man lifts another in a bear hug.

The ceremony is in a stone barn beneath a hanging garland of greenery, and Lauren and Henry kiss at the end of it as guests smile in the rows behind them. Long wooden tables laid with glasses and candles then stretch down a stone barn under a ceiling of hanging greenery and lights.

Lauren and Henry step out onto a country lane at dusk, with grass verges and fields behind them. Henry lifts Lauren into a kiss, her dress flowing out behind her.
The whole portrait takes only a few minutes, and the open fields and the pale evening sky do the rest.

The barns, the lower lawn and the fire pits
The venue's page says civil ceremonies can take place inside the barns or outdoors on the lower lawn, and that couples can also hold a church ceremony and celebrate at the barn. It lists room for up to 150 guests for the ceremony and meal together, says it is licensed for civil marriage ceremonies for up to 150 guests, and gives a late-night licence until midnight.
It describes underfloor heating, with fires and candles for warmth, a Funktion-One sound system and exclusive use of the barn. All food and drink is handled in-house by the venue's chefs and outside caterers are not permitted, so ask when you enquire.

Rooms close to the barn
The venue's page does not list bedrooms at the barn itself. It names The Stump, a roadside inn with 10 rooms and a barn for private hire, and The New Inn at Coln St Aldwyns, with 15 rooms, and points to a directory of other nearby accommodation. Ask the venue which options suit your guest list.

A few things worth asking the venue, and how we would plan around the answers:
- Where the ceremony is: inside the barn, on the lower lawn or at a local church. Tell us the plan and the times so we can arrange the morning around them.
- Group photographs: we do as many as you like and typically recommend around 15, which usually take about 20 minutes. Choose somewhere with room and a sheltered backup, and ask someone who knows everyone to round people up.
- Portraits: we usually take a portrait walk of about 15 minutes, with photo and video together. The lane, the lower lawn and the barn give you very different backdrops.
- Rain: agree an indoor option with the venue when you confirm the order of the day. The barns are the covered spaces the venue lists.
- Winter dates: daylight is short in December, so keep outdoor photographs close to the barn. We check sunset and light times for your date in advance and agree the plan with you.
One team for the photographs and the film

Cam and Beth have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together, so a stone barn in a quiet valley with a lawn and country lanes around it is familiar territory. You get one conversation about the timetable, one set of questions for the venue and one plan for the portrait walk.
The photo and video team package carries a £120 deposit and a £400 saving over booking photography and videography separately. We are based near Cardiff, and travel across England and Wales is included in standard full-day packages. When the drive is over two hours we always stay in a hotel the night before and cover it.
