In short: Bright Sight is Cam and Beth, a photo and video duo based near Cardiff. This page is about weddings at the Square Tower in Old Portsmouth, Hampshire, where we have photographed and filmed an August wedding. Standard full-day packages start at £2,099 for photography, £2,099 for videography or £3,799 for both, with travel included and a £120 deposit to secure your date.
A stone tower on the Old Portsmouth seafront
The Square Tower is on Broad Street in Old Portsmouth (PO1 2ND). The venue calls itself one of the most popular of Portsmouth's wedding venues and one of the oldest wedding venues on the south coast.
We photographed and filmed Claire and James's wedding here on 15 August 2025. This page follows it in photographs. Our Hampshire guide, Southampton guide and Sussex guide show the tower beside other venues on the south coast, and here we stay with the venue itself. What we say about the tower comes from the venue's own website, and what we say about the photographs comes from looking at them.
For current venue details, explore Square Tower. The venue's page lists its booking terms, so ask it for the current ceremony and all-day options.

A two-hour ceremony slot or an all-day booking
The venue offers a ceremony slot of two hours, or an all-day booking with access by arrangement until 11pm and, if available, up to two hours the evening before. It says you need to book your own registrar through the Registry Office.
The venue's pages cover the ceremony and the all-day option. If your reception is somewhere else, tell us where it is so we can plan the travel between the two.

Claire and James: stone walls, a wooden bridge and the seafront
Claire and James married at the Square Tower on 15 August 2025. The photograph at the top of this page is a quiet moment beside the sea: Claire rests her head against James's shoulder with her eyes closed, a bouquet of pink and white flowers in her hand.
The ceremony took place inside the stone-walled tower, with their guests gathered close around. When it ends, Claire and James step through the doorway as newlyweds, and a shower of confetti falls as they walk hand in hand between lines of cheering guests outside the stone building.

Inside the tower, in a stone-walled room with brick arches, James bends to kiss an older relative on the cheek as warm light falls across them.

Outside, the setting changes with every few steps. Claire and James face each other on a wooden bridge beneath a stone archway, Claire's veil trailing behind her. They walk hand in hand across a sunlit lawn in front of a stone fort wall and a black and white striped lighthouse.

On the seafront the wind lifts Claire's veil as they look at each other with rocks and the sea behind them, and they kiss with the Solent beyond. Their guests then gather together outside the tower for a group photograph from above.

Claire and James at the Square Tower: their August 2025 highlight
Claire and James’s highlight film retells their August 2025 wedding at the Square Tower, from the first moments of the day to the evening, around the photographs above. Watch it to see and hear the tower and the seafront in motion, then ask the venue which of its spaces suit your numbers.

A few things worth asking the venue, and how we would plan around the answers:
- Timings: With a defined ceremony slot or all-day booking, the day moves quickly. Agree your timings with the venue and tell us, so we can plan when the portrait walk happens.
- The walk between locations: The bridge, the lawn by the fort wall, the lighthouse and the seafront are all within a short walk of the tower, which is why a 15 minute portrait walk gives such different backdrops.
- Rain: Agree an indoor or sheltered option with the venue when you confirm the order of the day. On the day we settle it together with you and the venue.
- Group photographs: We do as many as you like and typically recommend around 15, which usually take about 20 minutes. The area outside the tower gives you room for a large group. Ask a groomsman or bridesmaid who knows everyone to round people up.
- Getting ready: If you and your partner are in different places, we move between you together, splitting our time as a team. Groom preparation typically takes about 15 minutes.
One team for the photographs and the film

Cam and Beth have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together, so a ceremony inside a historic tower and a walk along the seafront is familiar territory. You get one conversation about the timetable, one set of questions for the venue and one plan for the portrait walk.
The photo and video team package carries a £120 deposit and a £400 saving over booking photography and videography separately. We are based near Cardiff, and travel across England and Wales is included in standard full-day packages. When the drive is over two hours we always stay in a hotel the night before and cover it.
