The Mitre at Hampton Court Wedding Photographer & Videographer
A riverside hotel on the Thames opposite Hampton Court Palace, seen through a January 2026 wedding that we filmed: a ceremony under a glass roof, portraits on the bridge in low sun and a first dance in a room hung with plants.
In short: Bright Sight is Cam and Beth, a photo and video duo based near Cardiff. This page is about a wedding at The Mitre at Hampton Court in East Molesey, Surrey, which we filmed in January 2026. Standard full-day packages start at £2,099 for photography, £2,099 for videography or £3,799 for both, with travel included and a £120 deposit to secure your date.
A riverside hotel on the Thames at Hampton Court
The Mitre is on Hampton Court Road at East Molesey in Surrey (KT8 9BN). The venue describes a riverside boutique hotel on the banks of the Thames, opposite Hampton Court Palace, and its wedding page offers a historic riverside venue with ceremony spaces, riverside terraces and dining rooms.
We filmed Danielle and Rob's wedding here on 10 January 2026, so this page is different from our photograph-led venue pages: every picture on it is a still taken from their wedding film, and the highlight film plays at the top of the page. Our Surrey guide shows more weddings in the county, and here we stay with the hotel and the couple. What we say about the spaces comes from the venue's own website, and what we say about the pictures comes from looking at them.
For current venue details, explore The Mitre at Hampton Court. This wedding was in January, so ask the venue how the terraces and the river frontage work in other seasons.
01 / The spaces / From the venue's own description
An Orangery, two terraces and a private room beside the Thames
The venue's wedding page says it has room for up to 120 guests, with spaces to host just a few, and names the Orangery, the Main and Lower Terraces and the Cardinal Wolsey private room. It does not give a capacity for each space, say which rooms are licensed for ceremonies or give finishing times, so ask for all three in writing.
The Mitre also offers exclusive use of the hotel, which it says covers the bedrooms, dining spaces and riverside terraces, and says couples can extend the celebration from welcome drinks the evening before to breakfast the next morning.

02 / January 2026 / Danielle and Rob
Danielle and Rob: a ceremony under a glass roof, low sun on the bridge and a first dance among the plants
Danielle and Rob married on 10 January 2026. The film at the top of this page opens on a still from their portraits: Rob in a black velvet jacket and burgundy bow tie and Danielle in a long white dress, holding her pink and red bouquet, walking hand in hand along a stone bridge with the river and the riverside buildings behind them.
The ceremony was indoors, in a glass-roofed room hung with trailing plants and strings of bulbs. Rust-coloured curtains hang behind a low mound of pink and red roses and candles, and Rob waits at the front between two men in dark suits. Danielle comes in holding hands with a man in a red bow tie, smiling, as guests turn to watch. The film does not name the room, so ask the venue which of its spaces suits your numbers.

After the vows Rob lifts a small grey dog into his arms, and the three of them smile in front of the curtain. The couple then walk back along the aisle hand in hand while guests applaud, and out through a shower of confetti.

The portraits used the front of the hotel and the bridge beside it. Rob and Danielle walk down between white columns and a pair of stone lions, holding hands. On the bridge Rob kisses her cheek with the riverside buildings and the terrace canopy softly out of focus behind them, and then they kiss against the low winter sun.

Back inside they come into the room to applause, both smiling. In the evening, guests in coats talk beneath a cream canopy hung with strings of lights, with tall patio heaters standing among the tables.

For their first dance Rob wears a burgundy velvet jacket, and guests stand around them with phones raised, plants trailing from a ledge overhead. Danielle laughs as they begin, and then rests her head against his as they hold hands.

03 / Staying at The Mitre / From the venue's own description
40 rooms, family stays and rooms that welcome dogs
The venue's wedding page refers to taking over the hotel, "including all 40 rooms", and says guests can stay in the hotel. Its stay page lists rooms, suites, family stays and accessible rooms, and says selected rooms accept dogs, which would have suited the small grey dog in the ceremony pictures. It gives no total room count on that page, so ask how many of your guests it can sleep, which rooms come with your date and what the arrangements are for the morning after.
For the film and photographs, ask which rooms you can use for getting ready and when they open, so we can plan the morning around where each of you is.

Danielle and Rob at The Mitre at Hampton Court: their January 2026 highlight
Danielle and Rob’s highlight film retells their January 2026 wedding at The Mitre at Hampton Court, from the river and the bridge to the ceremony and the first dance, around the pictures above. Watch it to see and hear the hotel and its riverside in motion, then ask the venue which of its spaces suit your numbers.

Planning your film and photographs at The Mitre
A few things worth asking the venue, and how we would plan around the answers:
- Ceremony place: Danielle and Rob married indoors, in a glass-roofed room. The venue names an Orangery, two terraces and a private room, so ask which spaces can hold a ceremony and which suits your numbers.
- Timing: The venue's wedding page does not give finishing times, so ask for the timings of your date in writing. January light goes early, and this couple's bridge portraits were in low sun, so tell us once you have agreed the times and we will plan the portrait walk and the evening around the light.
- Riverside portraits: The bridge beside the hotel gave this couple their portraits. It is a public place, so we work around passers-by and traffic. Ask the venue which parts of its terraces and river frontage are open to you and whether any are closed to guests.
- Rain and cold: Their ceremony and first dance were indoors, and the evening terrace had a canopy and patio heaters. Agree an indoor or sheltered option with the venue when you confirm the order of the day, and we settle it together on the day.
- Group photographs: We do as many as you like and typically recommend around 15, which usually take about 20 minutes. Ask a groomsman or bridesmaid who knows everyone to round people up.
- Getting ready: If you and your partner are in different places, we move between you together, splitting our time as a team. Groom preparation typically takes about 15 minutes.
One team for the photographs and the film

Cam and Beth have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together, so a riverside hotel with an indoor ceremony, portraits in low winter light and a first dance among friends is familiar territory. You get one conversation about the timetable, one set of questions for the venue and one plan for the portrait walk.
The photo and video team package carries a £120 deposit and a £400 saving over booking photography and videography separately. We are based near Cardiff, and travel across England and Wales is included in standard full-day packages. When the drive is over two hours we always stay in a hotel the night before and cover it.
