In short: Bright Sight is Cam and Beth, a photo and video duo based near Cardiff. This page is about a wedding at Westerham Golf Club in Westerham, Kent, which we filmed in October 2022. Standard full-day packages start at £2,099 for photography, £2,099 for videography or £3,799 for both, with travel included and a £120 deposit to secure your date.

A clubhouse above the course, with 120 acres and three lakes

Westerham Golf Club is at Valence Park, Brasted Road, Westerham in Kent (TN16 1QN). The club's own wedding page describes a venue set in woodland, with 120 acres of grounds that include three lakes, a clubhouse with oak beams and high ceilings, and balconies that look out across the course.

We filmed Jack and Kelly's wedding here on 23 October 2022, so this page is different from our photograph-led venue pages: every picture on it is a still taken from their wedding film, and the highlight film plays at the top of the page. Our Kent guide shows more weddings in the county, and here we stay with the clubhouse and the couple. What we say about the rooms comes from the club's own website, and what we say about the pictures comes from looking at them.

For current venue details, explore Westerham Golf Club. This wedding was in late October, so ask the club how the clubhouse and the course look in other seasons.

Two suites, a balcony over the course and a clubhouse in the trees

The club says it is licensed for ceremonies of up to 150, with a wedding breakfast for up to 200 guests and an evening reception for up to 275. It lists carriages at 1am and says fireworks are allowed through its authorised supplier.

It names two rooms. The Valence Suite has views across the course, a private bar and lounge, a full-length balcony, open fireplaces, air conditioning and a sprung dance floor. The Eleanor Suite is described as new, next door, with its own entrance and terrace, licensed for civil ceremonies, and it can be combined with the Valence Suite for larger events. The club's pages give slightly different figures in different places, and the Eleanor Suite is described as new, so we do not say which room Jack and Kelly used. Ask the club for the current numbers and room details in writing.

02 / October 2022 / Jack and Kelly

Jack and Kelly: autumn on the course, a brick-walled ceremony room and a first dance with the band behind

Jack and Kelly married on 23 October 2022. The film at the top of this page opens on a still from their portraits: Jack in a navy three-piece suit with a pink tie and Kelly in a veil and a jewelled headband, walking hand in hand across the grass and looking at each other, with dark trees behind them.

The portraits were taken out on the course in low autumn sun. They walk away from the camera hand in hand towards a line of trees, Kelly's veil trailing behind her, and then kiss with the sun flaring behind them.

Under the trees, among the fallen leaves, they laugh with their arms around each other. Later the film shows the two of them riding along a path across the course in a golf buggy, past a bunker and a line of trees.

The ceremony was indoors, in a light room with brick walls and wooden beams. They stand face to face holding hands while their guests watch from the rows behind, and afterwards they walk back along the aisle together to applause, Kelly carrying a large bouquet of flowers and dried grasses.

Outside the brick front of the clubhouse, guests throw confetti and the two of them walk out smiling. For the meal the room is set with round tables, wooden cross-back chairs, white drapes with fairy lights and a brick fireplace.

In the evening they share their first dance with the band behind them, first under warm light and then under blue, with their guests gathered round. The day ends outside after dark: Jack and Kelly kiss inside a ring of friends and family holding sparklers, under strings of lights.

03 / The grounds / From the club's own description

120 acres, three lakes and a course to walk across

The club describes 120 acres with three lakes and says there are more than 120 photo locations on the grounds. Our aerial pictures show the lakes, the greens and the clubhouse among the trees, and golfers can be seen on the greens, so ask how play is handled on your date and which parts of the course are open to you for portraits.

The club's wedding pages we read do not mention bedrooms or overnight stays, so ask whether any accommodation comes with your date or where your guests can stay nearby. For the film and photographs, ask which rooms you can use for getting ready and when they open, so we can plan the morning around where each of you is.

Jack and Kelly at Westerham Golf Club: their October 2022 highlight

Jack and Kelly’s highlight film retells their October 2022 wedding at Westerham Golf Club, from the course in autumn light to the ceremony and the evening, around the pictures above. Watch it to see and hear the clubhouse and the grounds in motion, then ask the club which of its rooms suit your numbers.

Planning your film and photographs at Westerham Golf Club

A few things worth asking the club, and how we would plan around the answers:

  1. Ceremony place: Jack and Kelly married indoors, in a room with brick walls and views over the course. The club names the Eleanor Suite as licensed for civil ceremonies, so ask which room suits your numbers, and whether the ceremony and the meal can be in different rooms.
  2. Timing: The club lists carriages at 1am but does not give ceremony or meal times, so ask for the timings of your date in writing. Tell us once you have agreed them and we will plan the portrait walk and the evening around the light.
  3. Course portraits: The course gave this couple their portraits in low October sun, and the club says its grounds have more than 120 photo locations. It is a working golf course, so ask which areas are open on your date and whether a golf buggy can be arranged to move around the course.
  4. Rain: Agree an indoor or sheltered option with the club when you confirm the order of the day, perhaps using the balconies or the second suite, and we settle it together on the day.
  5. Group photographs: We do as many as you like and typically recommend around 15, which usually take about 20 minutes. Ask a groomsman or bridesmaid who knows everyone to round people up.
  6. Getting ready: If you and your partner are in different places, we move between you together, splitting our time as a team. Groom preparation typically takes about 15 minutes.

One team for the photographs and the film

Cam and Beth, the Bright Sight photo and video duo

Cam and Beth have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together, so a clubhouse with a ceremony room, a course for portraits and a dance floor is familiar territory. You get one conversation about the timetable, one set of questions for the club and one plan for the portrait walk.

The photo and video team package carries a £120 deposit and a £400 saving over booking photography and videography separately. We are based near Cardiff, and travel across England and Wales is included in standard full-day packages. When the drive is over two hours we always stay in a hotel the night before and cover it.
