A moated manor, secret gardens and an onsite church
Birtsmorton Court is at Birtsmorton, near Malvern in Worcestershire (WR13 6JS). The venue describes itself as a family-owned, exclusive use wedding venue, with a medieval moated manor house, secret gardens, an onsite church and a party-ready barn. Its pages talk about lakes, lawns, Italian-inspired formal gardens, wildflower meadows and views of the Malvern Hills, and the photographs show how much of that you can use without leaving the estate.
We photographed and filmed Jade and Brad's wedding here on 6 June 2025. Their day is the one in this guide: pink bridesmaids, a rose-covered arch, tall clipped hedges and a ceremony on the lawn.

Jade and Brad: pink robes, a rose arch and a hedge-lined aisle
Jade and Brad married on 6 June 2025. The photograph at the top of this page is the two of them beneath a white rose arch, Jade with a coral bouquet. The morning is bright and playful: bridesmaids in pink striped robes laugh together on a bed, and the large bow on the back of Jade's gown shows in a black and white close-up with her veil and a mirror behind.

Four bridesmaids in hot pink dresses arrange Jade's train in a bright room, and she stands beside a tall mirror and a sunlit window in her long veil. Outside, Brad adjusts his bow tie in front of green leaves.

The ceremony is outdoors on the lawn, with white chairs in rows and a tall clipped hedge at the end of the aisle. Jade and Brad walk back along it with their arms in the air while guests clap and cheer.

Afterwards they stand together beside a tall hedge and an old brick wall, and Jade holds out her veil as they walk along a gravel path under a big tree. Friends cheer in front of a wall covered in pink roses, and the two of them smile at each other in the rose garden with a statue in the greenery behind.

The whole wedding party lines up on the lawn beside the water, with bridesmaids in pink, groomsmen in black and Jade and Brad in the middle. The lawn gives you plenty of room for a group photograph.

The church, the Great Hall, the Linney and the barn
The venue's ceremony page describes a 14th century church on site, holding up to 115 guests, for Church of England ceremonies or blessings. It was originally the private chapel for Birtsmorton Court and has its own gate and a tree-lined path. The page says couples attend the church on six Sundays in the six months before the ceremony, while the banns are read.
For civil ceremonies the venue names the Great Hall, dating from the 13th century, for up to 80 guests, the Linney, a light-filled room with large windows onto the gardens, for up to 150, and the Barn, with oak beams and a fairy light canopy, for up to 120. The page says civil ceremonies are booked through Worcestershire County Council. Outdoor ceremonies can be held at any spot in the grounds, and the venue says it will move a ceremony indoors if the weather turns. The pages do not give an outdoor capacity, so ask the venue.
03 / Staying at Birtsmorton Court / From the venue's own pages
Cottages, suites and shepherd's huts
The venue's stay page lists a Georgian Suite in the main manor, several cottages and lodges, and three shepherd's huts, and says all of the accommodation is available exclusively to each wedding party and their guests. The stay page says it sleeps up to 44 guests overnight, while the ceremony page says up to 46, so confirm the figure with the venue. The pages do not give check-in or check-out times, so ask when you enquire.

A few things worth asking the venue, and how we would plan around the answers:
- Where the ceremony is: the church, the Great Hall, the Linney, the Barn or a spot in the grounds. Tell us your plan and the timings so we can arrange the morning around them.
- Getting ready: ask which rooms and cottages are yours on the morning and from what time, since the first photographs happen there.
- Rain: agree an indoor option with the venue when you confirm the order of the day. The venue says it moves outdoor ceremonies inside if the weather is poor.
- Group photographs: the lawn is roomy. We do as many as you like and typically recommend around 15, which usually take about 20 minutes. Ask someone who knows everyone to round people up.
- Portraits: we usually take a portrait walk of about 15 minutes, with photo and video together. The rose arches, clipped hedges, brick walls and gravel paths give you several backdrops close together. In June, we check sunset and light times for your date in advance and agree the plan with you.
One team for the photographs and the film

Cam and Beth have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together, so a moated manor with rose arches, clipped hedges and a lawn aisle is familiar territory. You get one conversation about the timetable, one set of questions for the venue and one plan for the portrait walk.
The photo and video team package carries a £120 deposit and a £400 saving over booking photography and videography separately. We are based near Cardiff, and travel across England and Wales is included in standard full-day packages. When the drive is over two hours we always stay in a hotel the night before and cover it.
