A Grade I listed estate with a chapel
Brympton House is at Brympton d'Evercy, Odcombe, near Yeovil in Somerset (BA22 8TD). The venue describes a private country estate that is Grade I listed and has stood since 1220, set in 33 acres. It is an exclusive-use venue, so the house and grounds are yours for the wedding.
We photographed and filmed Katherine and Marcus's wedding here on 25 July 2025. This page follows it in photographs. Our Somerset guide shows the house beside other venues in the county, and here we stay with the venue itself. What we say about the estate comes from the venue's own website, and what we say about the photographs comes from looking at them.
For current venue details, explore Brympton House. The venue publishes several wedding collections, so check which spaces, hours and accommodation each one includes.

The wedding breakfast has dining for 60 to 260 seated guests, and the evening centres on the Evening Stables Bar.
The venue says some of its collections include 24-hour exclusive use, and its larger collections give two nights of exclusive use with the whole estate. 02 / July 2025 / Katherine and Marcus
Katherine and Marcus: parasols, panelled rooms and a walk under the trees
Katherine and Marcus married at Brympton House on 25 July 2025. The photograph at the top of this page is from their evening walk: Marcus, in black tie, and Katherine arm in arm along a path between trees, the low sun coming through the leaves.
The morning begins in the panelled rooms of the house. Katherine's dress hangs beside a tall window, light falling across the wooden floor, and in another room Marcus stands in a dark suit at an open window, looking out. Katherine and her bridesmaids, in pale pink robes, sit laughing together on a bed in front of green patterned wallpaper.

Outside, a guest in a sage-green dress turns back over her shoulder holding a white parasol in front of the stone balustrade, and the bridesmaids, in pale dresses with white parasols, walk across the lawn in front of the long stone front of the house.

Inside the house Katherine and Marcus walk hand in hand along a landing beneath a carved wooden balustrade, a heavy curtain behind them and Katherine holding her bouquet.

03 / Staying at Brympton / From the venue's own description
A Honeymoon Suite and up to 31 guest bedrooms
The venue says up to 80 guests can stay. Every collection includes the Honeymoon Suite, some add ten house bedrooms, and the Deluxe collections include all 31 guest bedrooms. Some collections also include preparation suites, one of which is called the Pamper Suite.
For photographs, ask which preparation rooms you can use and when, so we can plan the morning around where each of you is.

Katherine and Marcus at Brympton House: their July 2025 highlight
Katherine and Marcus’s highlight film retells their July 2025 wedding at Brympton House, from the first moments of the day to the evening, around the photographs above. Watch it to see and hear the house and the grounds in motion, then ask the venue which of its spaces suit your numbers.

A few things worth asking the venue, and how we would plan around the answers:
- Choosing the ceremony setting: With four ceremony settings to choose from, decide with the venue which suits your numbers and the season, and tell us so we can arrange the morning around it.
- Rain: Agree an indoor or sheltered option with the venue when you confirm the order of the day. On the day we settle it together with you and the venue.
- Group photographs: We do as many as you like and typically recommend around 15, which usually take about 20 minutes. The long stone front and the lawn give you room; ask a groomsman or bridesmaid who knows everyone to round people up.
- Portraits: We usually take a portrait walk of about 15 minutes, with photo and video together. Paths between the trees and the terrace beside the house give very different backdrops, and if the light suits we can take an optional second walk later at no extra cost.
- Getting ready: If you and your partner are in different places, we move between you together, splitting our time as a team. Groom preparation typically takes about 15 minutes.
One team for the photographs and the film

Cam and Beth have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together, so a grand house, a chapel and a long lawn is familiar territory. You get one conversation about the timetable, one set of questions for the venue and one plan for the portrait walk.
The photo and video team package carries a £120 deposit and a £400 saving over booking photography and videography separately. We are based near Cardiff, and travel across England and Wales is included in standard full-day packages. When the drive is over two hours we always stay in a hotel the night before and cover it.
