01 / October 2025 / Rose and Ryan

Rose and Ryan: festoon lights, a floral arch and a vineyard in the wind

Rose and Ryan married on 3 October 2025. The photograph at the top of this page is the two of them sharing a close, smiling moment beneath Rose's veil. The morning is warm and a little giddy: Rose stands laughing in a white robe with three bridesmaids in teal satin robes, all holding glasses, in a dark room with warm pendant lights.

02 / The spaces / From the venue's own pages

The Elizabethan barn, the vineyard and the farmhouse

The venue's wedding page names the Elizabethan barn as its main wedding space, with underfloor heating and doors opening onto the lawn, and a garden pergola looking over the vineyard for outdoor ceremonies. It says the venue is licensed for civil ceremonies and civil partnerships, that outdoor vows move into the barn in poor weather, and that the parish church of St Peter's is just steps from the grounds. It also lists a Coach House Bar and an Italian-inspired courtyard.

The page gives seated wedding breakfast numbers of up to 180 guests in the barn and an evening celebration of up to 350, and does not give a ceremony capacity, so ask the venue. A dedicated dressing room is listed for the couple and loved ones. Dogs are welcome.

03 / Staying at Copdock Hall / From the venue's own pages

The Farmhouse

The venue lists a Farmhouse a few steps from the barn, with eight en suite bedrooms that sleep up to 17 guests and a garden-view Honeymoon Suite. It is aimed at close family and friends, and the venue recommends nearby hotels and B&Bs for other guests. Ask which rooms come with your booking and when you can have them on the morning of the wedding.

Planning your photographs at Copdock Hall

A few things worth asking the venue, and how we would plan around the answers:

  1. Where the ceremony is: the Elizabethan barn, the pergola above the vineyard or a church nearby. Tell us the addresses and times so we can plan the morning, the travel and the first photographs around them.
  2. Getting ready: ask when the dressing room and the Farmhouse are yours on the morning, since that is where the first photographs happen.
  3. Group photographs: we do as many as you like and typically recommend around 15, which usually take about 20 minutes. The courtyard and the lawn give you room.
  4. Portraits: we usually take a portrait walk of about 15 minutes, with photo and video together. The vineyard, the gravel paths and the barn give you very different backdrops. In October, we check sunset and light times for your date in advance and agree the plan with you.
  5. Rain: the venue says outdoor ceremonies move into the barn in poor weather. Agree an indoor option for the portraits too when you confirm the order of the day.

Cam and Beth, the Bright Sight photo and video duo

Cam and Beth have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together, so an Elizabethan barn with a courtyard, a vineyard and a long lawn is familiar territory. You get one conversation about the timetable, one set of questions for the venue and one plan for the portrait walk.

The photo and video team package carries a £120 deposit and a £400 saving over booking photography and videography separately. We are based near Cardiff, and travel across England and Wales is included in standard full-day packages. When the drive is over two hours we always stay in a hotel the night before and cover it.
