VENUE SPOTLIGHT & REAL WEDDINGS
Greenwich Yacht Club Wedding Photographer & Videographer
A riverside wedding venue on Peartree Way in Greenwich, between the O2 and the Thames Barrier, seen through a February wedding and a film from 2021.

In short: Bright Sight is Cam and Beth, a photo and video duo based near Cardiff. This page is about weddings at Greenwich Yacht Club on Peartree Way in Greenwich, London. We photographed and filmed Josie and Nick there in February 2024, and filmed Emma and Mark's wedding in September 2021. Standard full-day packages start at £2,099 for photography, £2,099 for videography or £3,799 for both, with travel included and a £120 deposit to secure your date.
A wedding on the Thames in Greenwich
Greenwich Yacht Club is at 1 Peartree Way, Greenwich, London (SE10 0BW). The club's home page says it sits beside the O2, between the O2 Arena and the Thames Barrier on a wide stretch of the Thames. It was founded in 1908 and moved to Peartree Wharf in 1999, and it remains primarily a sailing club, with rowing, cycling and art as well. Its wedding page says it has two venues, so there are options in how you run the day, and it offers eight accredited caterers. It also links two virtual tours of the spaces.
We photographed and filmed Josie and Nick's wedding here on 24 February 2024, and filmed Emma and Mark's wedding on 9 September 2021. Josie and Nick's day is the one in this guide, because it is the one with photographs.

01 / February 2024 / Josie and Nick
Josie and Nick: fairy lights, a red rose and the London skyline
Josie and Nick married on 24 February 2024. The photograph at the top of this page is the two of them on the riverside walkway, Josie laughing with a red rose bouquet in her hand. Their ceremony is a warm, colourful room: they kiss beneath a white canopy strung with fairy lights and paper lanterns while friends look on.

Outside, a short walk is all it takes. They stand by the river with the London skyline behind them, and later pose together framed in a circular opening in a concrete wall.

Two more photographs from Josie and Nick's walk around Greenwich. By the river railing, with apartment towers across the water, Nick kisses Josie's forehead, her veil falling behind her. And walking under a brick building with orange panels, Nick gathers up Josie's tulle skirt as she carries a bouquet of red roses.

02 / September 2021 / Emma and Mark
Emma and Mark on film
Emma and Mark married at Greenwich Yacht Club on 9 September 2021, and we filmed their day. There are no photographs from it here, but you can watch their highlight film further down this page.

The Club House and the River Rooms
The club's home page says the two venues are available year-round for 20 to 250 guests. The Club House is a two-storey building on stilts in the middle of the river, with floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic river views, reached by a bridge or by boat. The River Rooms are a stand-alone venue with two rooms and a large outdoor deck overlooking the river and boatyard. They have a large lounge bar, a kitchen for evening drinks and a river-view hall that seats up to 100 for dining.
The enquiry form offers a Both Venues option for weddings only, and says pricing and answers to common questions are in the downloadable wedding brochure. The club also has its own pontoon for large boats to and from the city. Its pages do not give capacities for each space, say which rooms are licensed for ceremonies, or state curfew, music limits, parking or public transport, so ask the events team on 020 7952 2410.

Emma and Mark at Greenwich Yacht Club: their September 2021 highlight
Emma and Mark's highlight film retells their September 2021 wedding at Greenwich Yacht Club. There are no photographs from their day on this page, so the film is the way to see it. Watch it to see and hear the venue in motion, then ask the venue which of its spaces suit your numbers.

The club's pages give little practical detail, so a few things are worth asking the events team, and we would plan around the answers:
- Which of the two venues: the Club House, the River Rooms, or both. Ask which spaces come with your booking, whether the ceremony can be held in them and what the capacities are. The River Rooms hall seats up to 100 for dining, and the two virtual tours on the club's page are a good place to start.
- Weather: a riverside walkway is wonderful in good weather and exposed in a February wind. The River Rooms have a large outdoor deck, but agree an indoor option with the club when you confirm the order of the day.
- Group photographs: we do as many as you like and typically recommend around 15, which usually take about 20 minutes. Choose somewhere with room and a sheltered backup.
- Portraits: we usually take a portrait walk of about 15 minutes, with photo and video together. The riverside, the skyline and the concrete windows give you very different backdrops, and the club sits between the O2 Arena and the Thames Barrier on a wide stretch of the river.
- Getting there: the Club House is reached by a bridge or by boat, and the club has its own pontoon. The club's pages give no parking or public transport information, so check your guests' journeys, parking and any road closures for your date when you plan the timetable.
One team for the photographs and the film

Cam and Beth have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together, so a riverside venue with a canopy of fairy lights and a skyline for a backdrop is familiar territory. You get one conversation about the timetable, one set of questions for the venue and one plan for the portrait walk.
The photo and video team package carries a £120 deposit and a £400 saving over booking photography and videography separately. We are based near Cardiff, and travel across England and Wales is included in standard full-day packages. When the drive is over two hours we always stay in a hotel the night before and cover it.
