An 18th-century country house beside the River Wandle
Morden Hall is at 21 Morden Hall Road, Morden, in south London (SM4 5JD). The venue describes an 18th-century country house set within 125 acres of National Trust parkland beside the River Wandle, about five minutes' walk from the London Underground.
We photographed Jonathan and Tasha's wedding here on 21 June 2025. It is the day in this guide, and it moves from a gilt mirror and a bright ceremony room to confetti on the drive, a garden path and a dance floor.

01 / June 2025 / Jonathan and Tasha
Jonathan and Tasha: a gilt mirror, confetti and a garden path
Jonathan and Tasha married on 21 June 2025. The photograph at the top of this page is the two of them walking hand in hand along a gravel garden path between flower borders and trees, Tasha in a strapless gown and Jonathan in a morning suit with a grey waistcoat. The morning starts indoors, with Jonathan in a pale blue waistcoat smiling in a tall gilt mirror while a friend helps with his tie.

Jonathan and Tasha hug beside the ceremony table in a bright room with a chandelier, their guests looking on behind them. Outside, they walk through a corridor of guests throwing confetti, with a white house behind.

Later the two of them kiss on the lawn in warm evening light, and Tasha stands in the doorway of a white building covered in climbing greenery.

The day finishes on the dance floor, with Tasha pointing and singing into a microphone as the guests gather round.

The ceremony rooms, the Mulberry Room and the gardens
The venue's wedding page describes intimate ceremony rooms and an outdoor option on the North Lawn, which is surrounded by the River Wandle. Its FAQ says the whole venue is licensed for civil ceremonies, so you can marry anywhere in the house and grounds. It names a Cherry Suite, Hawthorn, Willow, Mulberry and Oak among its spaces, with the Mulberry Room for the wedding breakfast and the Willow room for dancing. The home page says the rooms cater for up to 200 guests indoors.
The gardens page describes a courtyard where the white front of the house is framed by wisteria, the North Lawn, and a boulevard walkway with the house on one side and a bridge and gate on the other. The venue says there are purpose-designed dressing rooms for the couple, both complimentary. The FAQ gives exclusive hire from 12pm until midnight, with access from 10am.

Overnight rooms
The venue's pages disagree on the rooms: the FAQ says 8 en-suite rooms including a honeymoon suite, the accommodation page lists a bridal suite and nine guest rooms, and the wedding page says nearby hotels are a short distance away and that on-site rooms are coming. Please confirm with the venue what is available for your date.
Planning your photographs at Morden Hall
A few things worth asking the venue, and how we would plan around the answers:
- Where the ceremony is: an indoor ceremony room or the North Lawn. Tell us your plan so we can arrange the morning around it.
- Getting ready: ask which dressing rooms you will have and from what time. The venue says access starts at 10am for you and your suppliers.
- Rain: the venue licenses the whole house and grounds for ceremonies, so agree an indoor option when you confirm the order of the day.
- Group photographs: we do as many as you like and typically recommend around 15, which usually take about 20 minutes. The courtyard and the lawn give you room. Ask someone who knows everyone to round people up.
- Portraits: we usually take a portrait walk of about 15 minutes. The boulevard, the courtyard and the North Lawn give you different backdrops. In June we check sunset and light times for your date in advance and agree the plan with you.
One team for the photographs and the film

Cam and Beth have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together, so an 18th-century house with a courtyard, a lawn and a river is familiar territory. You get one conversation about the timetable, one set of questions for the venue and one plan for the portrait walk.
The photo and video team package carries a £120 deposit and a £400 saving over booking photography and videography separately. We are based near Cardiff, and travel across England and Wales is included in standard full-day packages. When the drive is over two hours we always stay in a hotel the night before and cover it.
