In short: Bright Sight is Cam and Beth, a photo and video duo based near Cardiff. This page is about a wedding at the Hilton Liverpool City Centre hotel, where we photographed and filmed Kirsty and Clinton in August 2021. Standard full-day packages start at £2,099 for photography, £2,099 for videography or £3,799 for both, with travel included and a £120 deposit to secure your date.

A city centre hotel with the Mersey in view

Hilton Liverpool City Centre is at 3 Thomas Steers Way, Liverpool (L1 8LW). The hotel's own wedding brochure describes a city centre location with views of the Liver Building, the Royal Albert Dock and Chavasse Park, and says it can host anything from a small celebration to up to 450 guests.

We photographed and filmed Kirsty and Clinton's wedding here on 7 August 2021. The photographs on this page show their day, and the highlight film plays further down the page. Our Liverpool guide shows other venues around the city, and here we stay with the hotel itself. What we say about the building comes from the hotel's own wedding brochure, and what we say about the photographs comes from looking at them.

For current venue details, explore Hilton Liverpool City Centre. The brochure we read is the hotel's 2026 edition, five years after this wedding, so ask the hotel which rooms, numbers and packages apply to your date.

01 / The spaces / From the hotel's own brochure

A ceremony suite, a ballroom, a terrace and 221 bedrooms

The brochure says your ceremony can take place in one of the hotel's indoor suites. It describes the Grace Suite, named after Liverpool's Three Graces, with floor to ceiling windows, plenty of natural daylight, views across the Mersey and a private bar. For the reception it lists the Grace Suite with a private foyer and bar for up to 450 guests, which can be split into three function spaces, with a breakout area behind it.

The Albert Suite is the second largest room, on the first floor, for up to 160 guests and also able to be split into three. In summer the brochure suggests opening the doors onto the outdoor terrace to watch the sun set over the Royal Albert Dock. It lists three wedding packages, with minimum numbers of 80 guests for the Gold package and 100 for the Diamond, and says room hire charges may apply.

The hotel has 221 bedrooms and suites, including deluxe and family rooms, with special rates for wedding guests, and says an overnight stay for the couple is included with a wedding package. It also offers an after party in one of its suites, and a wedding coordinator who can manage the rooming list. The brochure adds that the hotel will look after your guests while you slip away with your photographer.

02 / August 2021 / Kirsty and Clinton

Kirsty and Clinton: a ceremony among white roses, portraits at the glass and a reception with the children dancing

Kirsty and Clinton were married on 7 August 2021. The photograph at the top of this page shows the ceremony: Clinton in a grey suit with a white rosebud buttonhole and Kirsty in an off-the-shoulder lace gown and veil, smiling and holding hands in front of their seated guests, with white flower arrangements and candles around them. We photographed and filmed their day, and the highlight film plays further down the page.

The room is lined with white flower stands, with a white runner down the aisle between tall wooden doors. At the table the couple sit side by side behind a low arrangement of white roses, both looking down at the table. We have not matched the ceremony room to the hotel's suite names, so ask the hotel which room your ceremony would be in.

They kiss on the white runner, holding hands, with candles and flower stands on both sides.

Outside, on a paved area with trees and a glass-fronted building behind, the wedding party lines up in one long row: the men in dark suits on the left, the couple and two small girls in the middle, and the bridesmaids in blush pink dresses on the right, each holding a white bouquet.

Back inside, the couple make time for portraits by the glass. In the first, they kiss at a glass balustrade in front of tall windows, Kirsty's long veil falling behind her. In the second, Clinton and Kirsty hold hands and smile at each other, Kirsty with her bouquet of white roses.

Planning your photographs at the Hilton

A few things worth asking the hotel, and how we would plan around the answers:

  1. Timing: The brochure gives no ceremony or finish times, so agree your timetable with the hotel first, including how long you need between the ceremony and the reception. Tell us your timings once you have agreed them and we will plan the portrait walk around the light.
  2. Summer light: Kirsty and Clinton married in early August, and the photographs show the ceremony room and the glass-fronted spaces bright and airy. If you marry at another time of year, ask the hotel how its rooms and terrace look then.
  3. Rain: Most of Kirsty and Clinton's photographs were taken indoors, which helps in wet weather. Agree an indoor or sheltered option with the hotel when you confirm the order of the day, including whether the terrace can be used. On the day we settle it together with you and the hotel.
  4. The city: The brochure describes the city centre location as a backdrop for wedding photographs and says its team will look after your guests while you slip away with your photographer. Tell us how long you would like away from the party and we will plan from there.
  5. Group photographs: We do as many as you like and typically recommend around 15, which usually take about 20 minutes. Kirsty and Clinton's wedding party lined up outside; ask the hotel where groups can be taken, and ask a groomsman or bridesmaid who knows everyone to round people up.
  6. Getting ready: If you and your partner are in different places, we move between you together, splitting our time as a team. Groom preparation typically takes about 15 minutes. Ask the hotel which bedrooms you can use and from what time, so we can plan the morning around where each of you is.

One team for the photographs and the film

Cam and Beth, the Bright Sight photo and video duo

Cam and Beth have photographed and filmed over 400 weddings together, so a city centre hotel with a ceremony suite, a ballroom and bedrooms on site is familiar territory. You get one conversation about the timetable, one set of questions for the hotel and one plan for the portrait walk.

The photo and video team package carries a £120 deposit and a £400 saving over booking photography and videography separately. We are based near Cardiff, and travel across England and Wales is included in standard full-day packages. When the drive is over two hours we always stay in a hotel the night before and cover it.
