A Queen Anne manor with giant tipis and a walled garden

Talton House is at Newbold on Stour, near Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire. It is part of Talton Lodge and Talton House, which describe themselves as a family-run venue, and the wedding pages name a Queen Anne manor house, a walled kitchen garden, two linked giant tipis, a front lawn with a pond and a pavilion bar. The photographs show a stone house with gables, a dry lawn and weeping willows.

We photographed and filmed Taylor and Brodie's wedding here on 13 August 2026. Their day is the one in this guide: a stone staircase, a grass aisle beneath a willow and a long outdoor table.

01 / August 2026 / Taylor and Brodie

Taylor and Brodie: a stone staircase, a willow aisle and a long table

Taylor and Brodie married on 13 August 2026. The photograph at the top of this page is the two of them walking hand in hand across a dry lawn, smiling, with the stone manor and its steps behind them. The morning is quiet and bright: embroidered shoes, letterpress stationery and gold jewellery on a sunlit windowsill, and two women fastening the back of the dress beside a tall window with floral curtains.

Outdoors, on grass beneath a weeping willow, Taylor and Brodie walk back along an aisle hand in hand past seated guests, both smiling, and later stand on the worn stone steps in front of the house.

Out on the lawn the light turns golden. They kiss in front of the willow, and the groom lifts the bride off the ground while she laughs, her sheer sleeves and veil lit from behind.

The wedding breakfast is at a long outdoor table under the trees, with a banner of their names above it. Taylor and Brodie walk past with their arms in the air, and elsewhere a man in a grey suit lifts a laughing friend in a bow tie.

Two last photographs show how the day felt: a kiss beneath the willow with guests seated behind, and a tight hug indoors in black and white.

02 / The spaces / From the venue's own pages

The front lawn, the giant tipis and the walled kitchen garden

The venue's wedding page describes blessings and drinks receptions on the front lawn, with the house, acacia trees, gardens and pond as the backdrop. It says the two linked giant hat tipis seat up to 80 comfortably and that parties and events can have up to 90 guests. From October to April, when the tipis are down, you can hire your own marquee for the front lawn, seating up to 100.

The page says plainly that the venue has no marriage licence for the formalities, and mentions nearby register offices, so the legal ceremony needs to happen elsewhere. It also lists a pavilion bar for the evening, a garden room bar for the daytime, a tree-boathouse deck and a pergola. Its exclusive use is given as 3 days in one place and 2.5 days in another, so confirm with the venue.

03 / Staying at Talton House / From the venue's own pages

A ten-bedroom manor and lodge stays

The venue's house page describes Talton House with 9 or 10 bedrooms, and the wedding page mentions up to 50 beds across the manor, Talton Lodge, a yurt and an orchard wagon. For the house alone the venue's pages give both 18 to 24 and up to 23 guests, with a possible minimum of 18, so confirm the numbers with the venue. The house page does not give check-in or check-out times, and says there are no check-ins on Saturdays, Sundays or bank holiday Mondays.

Planning your photographs at Talton House

A few things worth asking the venue, and how we would plan around the answers:

  1. Where the ceremony is: the venue has no marriage licence of its own, so the legal ceremony is held elsewhere and the front lawn is used for a blessing. Tell us the addresses and times so we can plan the morning, the travel and the first photographs around them.
  2. Getting ready: ask when your rooms in the house or the lodge are yours on the morning, since the first photographs happen there.
  3. Rain: the tipis and the house's reception rooms are the covered spaces the venue names. Agree an indoor option with the venue when you confirm the order of the day.
  4. Group photographs: the front lawn and the steps give you room. We do as many as you like and typically recommend around 15, which usually take about 20 minutes. Ask someone who knows everyone to round people up.
  5. Portraits: we usually take a portrait walk of about 15 minutes, with photo and video together. The steps, the lawn and the willows give you several backdrops close together. In August, we check sunset and light times for your date in advance and agree the plan with you.
