Wasing Park is on the Wasing Estate, near Aldermaston in Berkshire. The venue describes an award-winning barn wedding venue in a restored traditional farm hamlet, exclusive to the couple, with a 15th-century parish church, a Granary, a Dovecote and a Victorian Summerhouse in the grounds. Danielle and Alex: timber beams, a brick doorway and a veil in the wind
Danielle and Alex married on 22 May 2022. The photograph at the top of this page is the two of them on the gravel with a long brick building and a walled garden behind them, Danielle holding a bouquet of yellow and peach flowers. The morning starts in a room with old timber beams, where Danielle's dress hangs from a beam and she and six friends in white satin robes laugh together on the end of a bed.

Alex gathers with friends in navy suits and sunglasses on an outdoor staircase beside a brick wall. Danielle arrives for the ceremony on the arm of an older man in a dark suit, with Alex's back in the foreground.

Afterwards Alex kisses Danielle on the forehead beneath a tree, her long veil caught by the wind, and the two of them kiss again framed by a brick doorway with a date carved above it.

02 / The spaces / From the venue's own pages
The Garden Room, the Summerhouse, the church and the Castle Barn
The venue's pages name three ceremony spaces: the Garden Room, used for civil ceremonies, with rustic beams, aged brickwork and glass bi-fold doors; the Victorian Summerhouse, for outdoor weddings, with a hand-painted mural; and the on-site Parish Church of St Nicholas, used for traditional ceremonies. The pages do not give ceremony capacities or licence details, so ask the venue.
The reception space is the Castle Barn, a Grade II listed barn with red brick walls, a stage for bands and DJs, and a terrace under a stretch tent for evening food all year round, with chefs cooking over a fire pit and in a wood-fired oven. The pages do not give dining or evening numbers or a curfew, so ask when you enquire.
03 / Staying at Wasing Park / From the venue's own pages
Twenty-six bedrooms for up to 64 guests
The venue lists 26 bedrooms sleeping up to 64 guests, in places including the Honeymoon Suite, the Granary, the Smithy, the Dovecote, the Coach House, the Groom's Room, Home Farmhouse and the Bridal Cottage. Ask which rooms come with your booking and when you can have them on the morning of the wedding.

A few things worth asking the venue, and how we would plan around the answers:
- Where the ceremony is: in the Garden Room, the Summerhouse or the parish church. Tell us your plan and the times so we can arrange the morning around them.
- Getting ready: ask when your bedrooms, the Bridal Cottage or the Groom's Room are yours on the morning, since that is where the first photographs happen.
- Group photographs: we do as many as you like and typically recommend around 15, which usually take about 20 minutes. Choose somewhere with room and a sheltered backup, and ask someone who knows everyone to round people up.
- Portraits: we usually take a portrait walk of about 15 minutes, with photo and video together. The brick doorway, the gravel courtyard and the walled garden give you very different backdrops. In May, we check sunset and light times for your date in advance and agree the plan with you.
- Rain: agree an indoor option with the venue when you confirm the order of the day. The Garden Room and the Castle Barn are the indoor spaces the venue lists.
