Bright Sight planning guide
Do wedding photography and video prices change by region?
Quotes can look very different from one supplier to the next, but the package prices on this site apply to weddings across England and Wales, with travel included. This guide explains what to compare and where to find guides for your area.

The short answer
Quotes from different suppliers can look very different, and some add charges for travel or accommodation. With us, the package prices on this site apply to weddings across England and Wales, with travel included. We are based near Cardiff.
That makes comparing easier. Our standard packages start at £1,999 for photography, £1,999 for videography and £3,699 for both together.
What to compare between quotes
Two quotes that look close can cover different things, so it helps to compare what each one includes rather than only the total. Travel and accommodation are worth asking about first, because they can depend on where your venue is.
Ask every supplier the same questions, including whether travel is included and what the hours cover. Our cost guide lists every package price.
How our prices work across the country
Travel across England and Wales is included. When the drive is over two hours we stay in a hotel the night before and cover it. Abroad, travel and accommodation come to £450, and it is free on larger bookings. Our guide to travel charges explains each case.
Coverage hours work the same everywhere too: 10.5 hours with Standard, 11.5 with Luxury and 13 with Platinum, starting at the time that suits your day. Photography is £1,999, £2,499 or £2,899 for Standard, Luxury and Platinum, videography is £1,999, £2,399 or £2,699, and the photo and video team is £3,699, £4,149 or £4,699. On each package page the calculator shows your total as you choose coverage, films and extras, with the abroad travel option included when you need it.

What does change from region to region
Your venue changes, and so do the light and your timeline. Sunset moves across the country and through the year, as our guide to when the sun sets on your wedding day shows.
Venue types differ from region to region, and barns, manor houses, hotels, castles and marquees each shape the morning, the portrait locations and the evening. Local detail matters too: venue layouts, officiant rules, where family photographs happen and how to cover your morning. We talk these through on our planning call about a month before the wedding.
A venue we have never been to
Despite capturing over 400 weddings, you might be surprised to learn that most couples who book us marry at a venue we have never photographed. We have photographed at 200+ venues across England and Wales.
On request we send sample galleries or films from your venue. Our guide to photographers who have not been to your venue explains how we prepare.

Guides for your area
We have written area guides with real weddings, venue stories and planning notes for places across England and Wales, including Kent, the Cotswolds, Cornwall, the Lake District, North Yorkshire and Surrey.
Each guide is written for its area, with the places we have photographed and the planning notes that matter locally. If your area is not listed, you are still welcome to enquire. Send your date and venue and we will check availability.
If you are still deciding
Ask each supplier the same questions and compare the answers side by side. Our guide to saving money on wedding photography and video shows what can bring a quote down.
When you are ready, send an enquiry with your date and venue and we will reply within a few hours. An enquiry does not reserve your date; the £120 deposit does, once you are happy to go ahead.
